The headers will hit the coil buckets from all the flex with the stock mounts. I sold a few sets to some people that are running the URD headers and they were getting dented from the flex, slamming against the coil buckets. After solid mounts, problem solved.

You wouldn't happen to make these for an X-Runner? Obviously the 4.0L V6 will use the same mounts, but what about the transmission mount? What're the chances that the 2wd automatic is the same as the 2wd 6 speed manual?

Yes the motor mounts should be exactly the same, assuming the frames on the xrunner and the frame on the regular trucks are the same.

The 2wd auto and 2wd manual tranny mounts are definitely not the same.

How much time is 'extended' I have two Tacomas that are 4x4, but I do need to use both sometimes. Depending on the timeframe I think I could be of assistance here.

1 month to be safe. Its about 30 hours of R&D and then another 10-15hrs of build time. But I can sometimes only work on new stuff a few hours a week.

And you just need the mount not the whole truck?

For R & D purposes I only need the whole mount. Frame to frame, and to the tranny. Basically everything that is "bolt on"

Also depends on do you want a whole crossmember and mount of do you want to re-use your old crossmember and just have an upgraded solid mount. The way I built the 2wd was to fabricate an entire new crossmember frame to frame and also the tranny tailshaft mount.

Just here to give props to a solid set of mounts built a stand up member. I love mine so much that everyday I hop into the truck I forget they are even in there! :)

Been wanting to do those. I just never get enough people interested in it to make it worth all the R&D and time. If I cant sell 10 sets its not even worth it unfortunately, at the fair price I sell all the others for.

How much NVH do these motor mounts add?

Some but not much. It's probably measurable but I didn't do it before/after. The biggest thing I notice is more harshness on road bumps.

The mechanics that installed mine said they expected more than it actually had. I'd say during normal driving the NVH is something you just get used to or ignore.
