I have a 2016 Tacoma w access cab. It has no seats/ seat belts or speakers in the back. There is a plastic cover in door- maybe where I could install a speaker? The sound guy at Best Buy said I'd need to find a Toyota part/ cover/ kit to see if speakers are possible there. Is anyone familiar with this part? Thanks in advance!!

Not sure about the 2016, but my 2015 has them hidden in the head liner behind the dome light. I had no idea that the were even there until I was playing with settings and heard them.

OP has the utility package, so no rear speakers.

2005-2008 had access cab speakers. 2009-2015 ceiling speakers as hobie mentioned.
You can check mounting options for early 2nd gen AC

I have a 17 utility package. You need to pull them panels off the access door panels. The speaker grill is already there behind the cover panels. The don't come off easy and it's going to leave 6 holes in the door panel. Here's what I did. Also they are NOT pre wired 01717_hI8pToEMhTF_600x450_4098b94b85a9ec4bd777804a3eaf4b93c55be16b.jpg

Glad I got my SR Convenience for the price of a standard. Couldn't live without rear speakers or color matched bumpers :headbang:
