I personally like the idea and I can see value in it for my personal use but I'm not too crazy about how the straps look over the tailgate.

Looks like it would be good for a kitchen set up. I guess it would need to be fire proof, but to unzip the entire top to fold back to expose stove and fold up shelves and maybe a wash basin to one side.

    like the bag, mounting sucks.

maybe make the exposed part look like a bike protector (dakine etc).

    This.

I was into it until I saw it "mounted."

I'd rather throw it in the bed and have it be waterproof materials instead like what does exist on the market now.

Nice size and looks good. I would like to see it attached to the d-rings near the tailgate. You could leave it attached to d-rings or move to tailgate or wherever else you need it.
    That's my take.

Thanks for your interest, @Sand Shark! They are still in the design phase but are releasing soon. I don't know the exact retail price but based off of similar products, I assume it will be in the $200 range.

Looking for follow up when ready to go. also rings or straps on the bottom would be nice to attach to the tie downs on the bed floor.

$200 might be a little steep as I purchased a very nice bag that strapped to the back of my Tahoe that was made with major big straps, hooks and out of heavy waterproof material.

$200 range might be steep for some; however, these are the reasons why they are in that range.

-Made in USA (the products linked to this thread are all made over-seas).
-Made from heavy weight waterproof name brand CORDURA (also made in the USA)
    -High quality YKK zippers
-1/2 heavy duty foam (on all panels of bag)
    -140 liter bag

Dakine is selling their bike pad for $140.
Cabela's has a cargo bag for ATV's listed for $179 and a deployment bag listed for $330

    http://www.cabelas.com/product/ATV-...5080&CQ_search=bags&CQ_page=80&CQ_pagesize=80

    http://www.cabelas.com/product/CAMS...0&CQ_search=bags&CQ_sort=priceHigh&CQ_page=20

There is nothing exactly like Kargo's product on the market, so we are kind of comparing apples to oranges. With that said though, the price is derived from competition and cost to manufacture.

I will keep you all updated when the website is up!

    Thanks again for the feedback!

what's on the bottom of the bag, both interior and exterior? i haven't had the best of luck with Cordura in areas that see a lot of friction, especially at a crease (like a corner). i know it's strong, and it resists tearing very well, but...anything on the bottom to act as like a bumper or something?

foam removable? with that zipper up top, i wouldn't be disappointed to see foam only on the sides and bottom, with Cordura front and back rather than thin nylon.

i have a 4Runner, but something like this is exactly what I've been wanting for the cargo area. i'd buy right now if it was available.

I like the updated design. Is the zipper water proof? Why does the zipper's weather flap not cover it all the way around? Looks like it may leak in the corner thats not covered?

I like the idea. I have a large cooler secured like your last last picture (right behind the tailgate). I would make a suggestion, add another set of D rings to the front bottom...if they are both used (2 bottom D rings + 1 anchor point) would keep it from tipping over when breaking hard. Otherwise it looks great...I'd buy one, as I am simply using large plastic bins right now.

    Hey Dustin,
We are still in the process of testing materials, for the highest performing materials. Currently, the bag is made form a polyester material with PVC backing in order to make the bottom more water resistant, and more durable.

The foam is not removable, and lines all panels of the bag. (back, front, sides, top and bottom).

The final design will consider all aspects of the bag being water resistant. There will also be a higher end model that is completely water resistant, including zippers.

Some internal pockets (mesh) would be handy. A hard plastic bottom and rivets at stress points would be beneficial. Pics below are from a gear bag we sell for tree climbers.
