I don't know where else to go or who else to talk to. My TPS is bad and when I ordered the part for my 04 Toyota Tacoma, it was wrong. The sticker on the inside of my door says my truck is an October 2003. I tried to order a 2003, but ended up with the same 04 part 3 dang times! What do I need to do?

i dont see why the parts would be any different from 2001-2004. I think its the same part.

My truck has a supercharger I put into it when I bought it. I'm being told that I can't just reach the tps, that I have to replace the whole dang throttle body. The tps part I had tried to order turned the opposite way as to what my truck has. It didn't work. I'm now being quoted at $1200 for a whole new throttle body system. I'm unsure whether this is the norm or whether I'm being bs'd. I've never had to deal with a bad tps, so I'm trying to get any advice I possibly can.

You are better off ordering a whole new TB. The TPS is very sensitive (or at least when I worked on Hondas it was) and needs to be calibrated to a very tight tolerance. I'm actually surprised you found one not on a TB.

eBay is your best way to get a new one from a parts dismantler. Shouldn't be more than $150 and swaps right in. There are two motors for our trucks 4 / 6 cylinders. It's possible you got the wrong one or even a JDM one.

what motor do you have? The part should be the same until '05 if I'm not mistaken.

Some people even put a V8 4Runner TB on V6 since it's slightly larger but whether or not this is a true performance gain is up for debate. It at least gives you another option to search for if you have a 4.0 .
