Would you be able to tell me the hardware that you used to mount the traction boards to the front rail? Interested in doing the same. Thanks!

    Long bed FTW

Sucks the Maxsa boards are about 2" too long to fit on a short bed that way. I had hoped to do this but they don't fit

Did you mount the rails that go from the brackets to the topper to the roof rack or drill through and put a bolt on the outside?

Nice mounting ideas here! What's the lowest cost, lightweight and reliable (proven) set of traction boards you guys could recommend for occasional use? I looked at folding but I can see they wouldn't work as well as a solid board when you are dug in. Are there low profile nesting solid ones for storability? I would use them on both my Tacoma and also to help keep my trailer from digging in...

Edit: I think I just got my answer reading the equipment review forum, but new suggestions are welcome too.

I made a plywood panel that I mounted to the front of the bed, I mount a Hi-lift on brackets, a shovel on Quick fists, and my Treds on some aluminum brackets I welded up.

Can you give me some detail on the jerry can tray? I've been trying to figure a way to do your exact setup and can't put the mount together in my head.

This is how I had it in my contractor cap. A KB Voodoo cross rail, with 3.5” eyelet bolts. And a bungee to hold them on.

Nice set up! Quick question.. What size locks are you using? Is there a specific brand you've had good luck with or your basic hardware store lock?
Just got mine installed today finally..

They look like the brackets kbvoodoo sells. I'm running them and they work well except on the shortbed mid rack I had to drill the holes and cut off some of the thread on the maxtrax mounting pins so they didn't scratch my bedside.

They are indeed the kb voodoo brackets. I finally got him to design some after begging for months. They work great and I thought they were designed mainly for the low rack so I'm not sure why there would be fitting issues.
