Have you done anything about your inner fenders yet? Mine are exploding, I hope they make it through the summer then i will chop them out in the fall and weld in something nice.

Inner fender wells? I still haven't. I'm in dire need of tubing up my front end. In the meantime I am limiting the Taco to street duty only until I can do so. Otherwise this thing is itching for some off road fun!

Updated with the transmission pictures! @Wishbone Runner

While I was at it I also got a new AFR gauge as I now stray away from Innovates MTX gauge, as well as that piece of turd Grams gauge that I had. I went for an AEM X Series gauge. Simple power and ground, run the sensor as you need to, you're in business.

I'm back with the latest news. This just happened yesterday. ;) if you want to know more about it, I'll post up the thread link to it, but since that time I have REALLY been enjoying this new mod!

Fuel pump upgrade for sure! An AEM Green top 50-1200 E85 capable 320LPH pump. The thing is awesome. I am keeping the tuning part under wraps for now, because of potential chaos that could follow with talking about it. Lol.

With saying that, Ucon IS out for 2009 and up now though. That includes up to 2015 models also. :)

Aha okay. I will wait patiently for the unveiling of "the tuning part".

I have the TRD supercharger on my 2012... but I'm just sitting here with the stock pulley and TRD ECU reflash.

What kit did you end up using? I didn't know there was a DIY option!

There is always a DIY option the issue is whether or not the person buying it has the skill necessary to do it. It is no for the can't of heart for sure and careful patience is necessary.

I believe the kit I used was one made by Ratiotek. They have two versions, one catered towards NA and another catered toward trucks equipped with the TRD blower. I obviously required the one made for the TRD blower.

RT-A750E-HD? Been looking into doing the IPT upgrade for a while but wasn't too excited about the prospect of the truck being down for nearly a week. Are instructions available online or only with the kit? I'm sure it's not easy but I've figured out a lot of tough stuff on this thing so far.

As long as you are not putting a time constraint on yourself you will be able to do it, you just have to BE VERY CAREFUL when you are dismantling it. There are a lot of random springs and check balls all over this thing and if you lose one you are fucked. Lol.

Btw, yes that is the correct part number for the kit. IPT upgrade costs too much money and they do the same thing.

Been a Supercharger project lately. Been doing a CRAP ton of research, and have brought some goodies to share. Here's what I got for you kids today.

    - I've known for a long time that Bosch sensors do not play well with the jap cars. I bought an AEM X- Series gauge back in late February, brand new from Amazon. Having now replaced my 3rd Bosch AFR sensor in less than a years span I am convinced that these sensors legitimately do not play well with Japanese cars independent from the PCM or not. I created a list of known sensors made by Denso, NTK, and AC Delco which are direct replacements to the LSU 4.9 Bosch sensors. This post is to confirm YES they WILL WORK for AEM gauges, to me, it actually works better than the supplied Bosch PN 17025 sensor originally supplied with the gauge and I have no doubts that it will work for a really long time reliably.

    https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads...rence-and-compatibility.501754/#post-15632969

    - Moving forward, I have searched high and low for a good solution as a replacer part for the Bosch 392-022-002 auxillary electric water pump supplied with the TRD Supercharger kits for the intercooler system which will flow a better amount more water over it. After searching all over the web, I found a viable, and low cost solution (Actually, priced just the same as the 002 pump we have when sourced outside of dealers) which will pump out 1.10 GPM MORE than the one we have on ours. Coincidentally, it happens to be a superceded Bosch pump built for the V12 SL600 Mercedes Benz' (supposedly 2004-2011). They also happen to be the same dimensional size as our 002 Bosch pumps where the adele clamps bolt up, but the upgrades are internal in the motor, and you can see it because the case is built of all aluminum minus the outlets. These pumps will pull slightly more amperage than ours, but the fuse it is wired to has more than enough to run it. Big however, the pumps also happen to use a different plug compared to ours which uses a connector which is styled after the Bosch fuel injector plugs. I have taken the time to track down the required "parts" needed to retrofit the connector. After that you will have to cut the old connector off and solder the two new wires on for the plug...

    Parts needed for this retrofit:
PN- 392-022-010 Bosch Auxillary water pump ($104 from Autohaus based out of Arizona)
PN- 2305400081 x1 connector housing ($2 bought from your local Mercedes Benz dealer)
PN- 0005402505 x2 wiring w/ pins and gaskets already premade ($6 per from Mercedes Benz)

If you want higher flow through the system, this is your ticket.

    - Finally, I have been searching into a bolt on larger coolant reservoir built from aluminum for our intercooler systems. So far I have found a few options, all increasing the reservoir capacity to 3 quarts instead of our 1 quart reservoir, but the threading I would use for the return line from the intercooler system is only 1/4 NPT large. I am searching into a way to remedy this as that opening is far to small to return coolant back through and it would likely raise overall system pressure, not to mention restrict flow. I may have to custom build on the reservoir right from the get go in order to remedy this, but as a whole, it would be worth it. More to come on this soon.

Well. The ridiculously large capacity reservoir is on and running now, but it in no way was a bolt on setup. I am running it to the custom upper cross member I had fabbed some time ago which also is a part of the frame.

Finally got a poly tranny mount in this thing thanks to @DTFtacoma . This is one ROCK SOLID piece! Can't even feel a difference in NVH while driving or at idle. Can definitely feel an improvement in shift quality when driving, however, thanks man!

It's fairly straightforward... If you DON'T have a t case skid. I did so it was a bit more annoying for me, took me about an hour start to finish with access to all my shop tools and a transmission/ enigine screw jack. The hardest part was tightening the 4 bolts which secure the mount to the frame cross member. The design allows for minimal access even with a shorty wrench to hold the bolt heads to zap down the unlock nuts.A minor nuisance but a kickass mount nonetheless.
