So far it's been good. Even got an hour and a half nap in there, which is a life saver. So what do you do? IIRC you do something with Amazon.

You guys might have to talk me down.

Things were pretty exciting here a bit ago...Just changed my password. Whew! Talk about an adrenaline dump.

Can't wait until I get to do it again next month.

Cardiac/tele nurse here. I have 3 IVC's on my unit now. Apparently the flavor this weekend was to claim chest pain so you get out of the behavioral unit.

Yessir I am an Amazon slave. Work in one of their massive warehouses. Literally pick hundreds of items a day ranging from earphones to sex toys to water heaters and everything in between.

So you package everything up to be shipped out? Man I bet you see some weird orders.

Nah we have stowers that stow the products on isles and when people order the product I'm the one to go get it and send it to the packers to be shipped out.
It's pretty exhausting doing it for 10 hours straight. You walk up to 25-30ish miles plus stairs all the time. Combine that with lifting all the time and an extremely hot warehouse and you get dehydrated constantly. You're on your own 99% of the time so it gets boring quickly. It's really not THAT bad after you get used to it, but in a state like TN, they're an OKAY company to work for. My starting pay is $14/hr but you get raises every 6 months up until like 3 years. Then the only place you can go up from there is a building leader I bet there are tons of people waiting in line for that. They have a 401k and all that. In comparison to other jobs for High School grads with no college experience, it's pretty decent. All the other jobs on the entire half of my state all pay around $7-$9 so it's worth the 2 hour drive there and back. I wouldn't say it's a good career but it's a good job to gain experience until you can go to college and get an actual career.

And yeah man there are weird ass orders every now and again. I didn't realize I'd be handling dildos and swords and didn't realize Amazon even sold that stuff.

Wow, that sounds extremely exhausting. If you had a Fitbit you'd be kicking all your friends asses ;) I literally sit on my ass in front of a computer screen for 12 hours. I have to force myself to get up and walk around.
