Yea, but not much. I already did HID Headlights & Fogs.

    • Running Boards - N-Fab Wheel to Wheel Nerf Bars (T1580CC-TX)
    • Tonneau Cover - Truxedo Lo Pro QT Tonneau Cover
    • Bed Extender (Maybe)
    • Tint Front Windows
    • TRD Pro Grill
    • Wheels/Tires when my stock tires are done for

These will come one by one as I am broke from the truck and almost all my expendable income goes to ammo and firearms as I train weekly.

BTW, your build is nice Love the color too.

Guns laws here are one of the most lenient in the country. I have a handful of SBRs and suppressors. No limits on magazine capacity, etc. Love the gun laws here. I also go do training in Tooele (about 45min drive from where you'll be working) weekly.

Here are a few of my babies.

Hey everyone, looking for some help here. I moved to Utah four years ago but my truck was registered in Ohio through 2019 so I never registered in Utah figuring I'd just register it here when my current expired. Apparently, you are supposed to register your vehicle within 60 days of establishing residency here which I just found out. How big of a deal is this? I can't find much info on it (other than an article from 1997 lol) and hoping someone has some answers before I go through the whole process of registering in Utah.

Side note; I've been pulled over a couple times in the past four years and the officers have never said anything about it so I guess its not that big of a deal since I'm current?

Legally I wouldn't worry by any means. Just register asap and get a Utah DL.

Check out UCA (Utah Code Annotated)

Not to be a dick, but your friend admitted to breaking the law, then got fined for it?

    Is that honestly surprising?

From a family a background in law enforcement and attorneys, what you said isn't surprising at all since she gave a full admission of breaking the law.

OP, I will not give you legal advice, but I will say from common sense, honesty is NOT always the best policy.

Thanks for the advise guys! I actually do travel between Ohio and Utah quite a bit, and I've had a Utah DL since 8/2014.

My next question is how do people get their vehicles passed with dark window tint, bald tires, blacked out headlights/taillights, bumpers falling off etc? I took my truck in to get the inspection and emissions completed and they failed it because my window tint was a couple of percents too dark (its at the legal limit in Ohio) which to me is ridiculous.

Thankfully safety inspections are going away in January!!! :bananadance::bananadance::bananadance:

Most have friends that illegally pass them.

That is good news! I'm usually a by the book kinda guy but this shit is IMO kinda ridiculous. I may just take the window tint off for inspection and get it tinted darker with ceramic later. Need to think about it. Thanks again guys!

Safety inspections are going away, but how does that legalize dark tint? UCA states it is still illegal on the front 3 windows. https://le.utah.gov/xcode/Title41/Chapter6A/41-6a-S1635.html

I have not seen anything since the repeal of safety that legalizes darker tint for the front 3 windows. I may need to do more research on that.

We should do a local meet one of these days. There's a FB group called Wasatch Tundras & Tacomas that get together sometimes. I went to a bbq last summer and it was pretty chill, some good folks there. Plus light shows for dayz on their trucks.

My bro got pulled over last week for going 10 mph over on I-15 and the officer was on a rampage, writing him up for everything he could think of and lecturing him for 10 minutes.
If you're not up to code you're at the mercy of how good/bad the officer's day has been.

I quoted the code because it is still the law lol. If you have illegal tint and get pulled over, you will be forced to remove it and proving so upon paying the citation. Safety inspections has NOTHING to do with it being legal or illegal.

PD have "little fish" to fry and pulling someone over for window tint also yields in additional arrest, a small percentage of them being felony arrest which officers get ranked upon. One would like to think a small traffic violation would be on the bottom of the PDs list, but the reality is anything they can find is on their list unless their busy at that given moment with something more important.

You're welcome to break the law and take the risk, anyone is, with safety inspections going away, that only makes having illegal tinter easier and more tempting to do, it doesn't make it legal. It's just a matter of time before a prick of an officer pulls you over and gives you a traffic violation, then you having to remove your tint prior to court or at the date of court just cost you more money in the long run.

Exactly. When people think "PD have bigger fish to fry" and then state stupid quotes like that to the actual PD, it only pisses them off more.

As much as I hate the tint law and other laws, I follow them so I dont have to deal with PD. Dealing with PD in most cases is just a nightmare.

I have several coworkers that rock some dark tint and over the years it seems like each one has been pulled over a few times for it. They then pull it off and reinstall after getting the ticket cleared. But to say they have bigger fish to fry hasn't been our experience. If you run into one that is having a bad day he just may nab you.

The few trucks I've seen with Wasatch Tundras & Tacomas stickers on them have been pretty awful. Most had big silly lifts, often drop brackets, with big deep dish rims and lots of accoutrements all over the truck usually matching in some bright color and often sporting weird lighting/headlight halo's. Not exactly the style you see often here on these forums. Lot of street trucks to my understanding. Am I correct?
