I am about to purchase a Zone Offroad 6 inch lift for my 2017 Tacoma and was looking at a picture of all the parts and components it comes with. I also pulled up pictures of 6 inch lifts from BDS, Pro Comp, and Rough Country. Just out of curiosity I decided to compare the 4 different brands and what they include and noticed there are 2 parts that BDS, RC, and PC come with that are NOT in the Zone lift kit. I have attached 4 pics of each lift kit, the first pic being the Zone lift, and the other 3 pics are the other brands. I circled the 2 parts that are included in the other brands but don't appear to be included in the Zone lift. I have read nothing but good reviews on Zone lift kits being as they are a sister company of BDS and still make quality lifts. Does anybody have any idea what these 2 parts are? And is it something that is recommended for a lift kit or would I be fine with out it? Thank you!

I've checked the instruction manuals for the parts but cant seem to find those two parts. If I had to take a guess its definitely for the front end and might play a role in relocating parts of your existing suspension. Are you planning to keep your existing shocks in the front or getting new ones? I've been looking into a 6 inch lift too and decided that when the time is right ill order the BDS 6 inch coil over kit.

I contacted Zone and showed them the pics and they said that those parts are built into the crossmembers, it's just a different way of designing the kit. I actually wanted a BDS but it's just a little high for my budget right now. I decided to go with Zone after doing research and found out they're a sister company of BDS. All of there parts are built with the exact same quality. Difference is BDS has the better warranty and comes standard with Fox 2.0 Performance Series shocks. I will more than likely upgrade the rear Zone shocks to Fox 2.0 Adventure Series shocks.

Are you getting the lift installed at a shop? Just asking cause I'm seeing how much people I know are paying for a lift like this to be installed cause BDS and Fox say 6-8 hrs for a trained mechanic to get it installed

6" Zone lift kit, 20" Tracker Level 8 (20x9 0 offset) with Firestone Destination AT 275/65/20, Debadged, double din touchscreen pioneer dvd, 10" kicker cxr in a taco tunes box and a 600.1 kicker amp. Custom made surf racks utilizing the track system.
I have the zone 6" on my 2013 and had it installed for free with only 300 miles on the truck so cant help you on the pricing there but I went with the spacers. My suggestion is to do the coilovers and order a custom leaf pack from Alcan as that is my next step. Truck is almost paid off then the upgrades start. I cant complain about any off the product. Well designed and built for a mall crawler. This is my second Taco and I must say if you plan on offroading on a regular basis - dont do a drop bracket kit. I just did the 5100's cranked all the up and a AAL on my last tacoma and the ride was amazing and never had a problem in the woods - maintained good clearance and didn't sacrifice MPG or the cost of heavy tires and wheels. I had the Ivan Stewart 16's with a 32" MT and out performed most the full sizes.
