March 8th i took delivery of this sweet set of skids from an RCI Group buy from @mstudt. These will get cleaned, primed, and coated and eventually installed in the next few updates.

March 10th, a portion of my huge order from Marie @HeadStrong Off-Road has arrived. I jumped on the GB for ADS Shocks and ordered a set of coilovers with clickers for the front and new shocks with clickers for the rear along with dakar leaf packs. At this point in time, ADS was building my shocks and the long wait was in full swing!

March 15th, the Switch Pro 8100 has arrived!!! I was comparing this to a sPod system and chose this. The biggest reason is that its a full logic board and doesn't need all the relays and wiring that a sPod has internally. I also like that I can control it from the app on my phone which will definitely prove to be handy Im sure.

I need to work out a mount, wiring into the cab for the actual switch panel, and the most important decision so far, which buttons will activate which accessories

No problem! I will definitely be posting those pics soon I should have started this build thread many months ago, but since I didnt, im trying to chronologically catalog it all. Soon!

 

I've seen some people who replaced the little side cubby with the Switch Pro panel. Is this where you'll put yours? Seems to be the cleanest look, but the steering wheel blocks the view. Decisions, decisions.

 

That is exactly where I put it. I used @XPOTRPR's mount he sells. The steering wheel does block the button but mostly the ones on the right side. Its not too bad because, i have gotten used to where it is and can usually hit the right button just by feel now.

 

March 18th and 19th, I managed to get the sliders coated. I sanded them and then cleaned them with acetone. I applied a few coats of self etching primer and topped with hammered black from Rustoleum. The end result is not what I was looking for. I will eventually re-coat these, but for now it will have to do. Its a bit too shiny and not really black. I have since March tested a few different paint options and so when its time to re-coat, it should turn out more like i had imagined.

Oh man, i have been staring at these sliders sitting in my garage. @ChadsPride and I are gonna coat our stuff in a few weekends but man, Id like to have them on for HF as well. I really need to call the powder coater tomorrow. My rear bumper is shipping on Friday and that is definitely getting powder coated so I may just do them both. Chad, i will still help you coat yours if I go this route

 

March 18th, I got the @CBI Offroad Fab ditch brackets installed. It was a breeze! I have a bunch of things to get done before I will install the lights like installing the switch pro, installing the led lights themselves, and running all the cabling.

March 20th, working with Ze @ Tacoma Pros, I mocked up the switch pro mount for the engine bay. The idea was found in one of the many switch pro threads here on TW. The other parts are a terminal block and bus bar for positive and negative leads
