Finished up my CB project. Took a quick crash course in soldering on YouTube. Simple enough. Practiced a little on some scrap.

Then I soldered the connection into the end of my coax. Routed it to here, where I'll hook up my hand held when in use.

Final antenna setup includes a spring and a quick disconnect. Won't have the antenna up until it's trail time.

I was very surprised at how little movement the antenna has in the road. Very pleased. :)

Found the source of my cab leak. It's entering through the driver side firewall grommet. Plan to build some sort of hat or roof to shield it. Not sure what that means yet, but I assure you all it will be ghetto fabulous.

Cut & broke off some stuff.
Just smear some silicone caulk stuff all over it. That's what Toyota says in their instructions for running bedlight wires out of the cab floor grommet and that all I did for my CB antenna wire going out of the cab.

There's so many wires going through though. It looks like a recipe for a giant mess. May be worth a shot.

I drilled a 1" hole in my cab to run antenna wire (connector and all) right where I wanted it then just globbed on the silicone to seal it. Not pretty but no leaks.

My AC has been sucking ass for as long as I've had it. Been working on the wife's car, so she has the jetta, and the taco is on DD duty for a couple days. Stopped half way through my sweat-soaked commute this morning and bought some Freon. After adding one can, it's better but definitely needs more.

Anyone know how much these trucks take if it was completely out?

I don't have the gauges. I just use the "put in more until it's cold" method. Didn't expect it to take more than a full can though. :notsure:

You probably have a leak. It probably takes somewhere around 1.2 -1.3 lbs of charge. Realistically, it'd be beneficial to have someone with an a/c machine do a evac of your system to see what it really has in it. Then can inject a/c dye (for leak detection later on) and recharge it. Shitty part is having to pay someone to do it.

Wanna do this for me? Also I need you to bleed my brake system with a machine. There's gotta be air in my system still for like 5 fucking years now that I can't get out. Haha

So much for my lights, bumper, gears suspension game plan. Stumbled on a hell of a deal for tundra brakes so that's on deck.
