I was a little late on mine and did the sparkies at 80k. One side will take like 10 min...the other will likely take double the time as its just a unique fitment to get your hand around. Nothing that cant be done in less than 45 min unless you start dropping stuff in the engine bay.

Cool thanks. Wouldn't mind waiting for a mod day to do all that while hanging around with you guys, and maybe tackle the horn at the same time.

If no one minds, I'm trying to look at my calendar to meet at my house. I live in a typical neighborhood so no craziness of driving down dirt roads or anything, but would still be fun. It looks like July 16th will be the day, as the next weekend is when I am trying to pick up the rims IF the guy doesn't sell them before hand.

Just checking in to say sorry I haven't been very active guys. Crazy stuff going down my way. I'm still alive, and not in jail, or in any trouble so that's the good news. I'm hoping things will calm down next week, and hopefully I'll have some company and a good story for you guys at the next meet if we can make one happen.

    A thing or two...
I've got a mountain of parts amassing, so I would be interested. I've got no shade at my place, so if I don't do it first thing in the morning or in the hour or so before dark, I'm frying in the sun. :bananadead:

The dash and center console are easy to get apart, so I could lend a hand. I've had mine apart tons of times. You're on your own with the painting... My painting isn't pretty. If you don't have them already, you may want to look into getting a set of trim removal tools. They're plastic levers to pry auto trim off. They're better than using a screwdriver if you're worried/care about scratches.

Anyone around the c-ville area this weekend want to hit up wine/jazz festival in Staunton and then tractor pull in Harrisonburg? Me and my old lady are going tomorrow.

Sorry I haven't been active much as well. Haven't done anything other then work the past few weeks.(but hey more money for truck parts) However I did put my campershell on the truck when I went on vacation and its grown on me a lot so until I can get a rear tire carrier I think it's going to stay on.

Also just ordered SRQ fabrication ditch light mounts and Caliraised 3x2 18w pods witch I'm hoping will be here in a week or so. Then in about 6-9 weeks I should have my 4xinnovations rear tube bumper in to help tie in the front. So a few more changes coming.

I was just talking with @buyobuyo and he was talking about the forge specialties guys and that they are the Toyota guys from Iron pig. I was curious if anyone has tried their stuff for work? I thought Iron pig was pretty talented for their stuff, but would be interested to see if the Toyota guys from Iron pig left to start their own shop?

I posted about that a while ago. I ran into a guy who had his bumper and the installed a lift on his truck. He bought the lift from somewhere else but had them install it. His biggest complaint was because it's a small operation it takes them a while to do the work but it's quality so he didn't mind waiting. I have followed them on Facebook.

Yea I saw when you first talked about them about 20 pages back. Bummer that they have wait times although that is somewhat expected. I like the fact that they have already done some frame boxing, I need to do that in the long run for mine especially in the rear.

It seems like they do a lot of work on Landcruises but can't tell if that is just what they have in the shop. I will be looking for a front bumper myself soon and will go down and talk to them then but that will be a while. I heard the owner of Iron Pig was driving the business down and these two or three guys wanted to get out of a bad situation. I have nothing to back that up so I'm NOT saying Iron Pig is crap or doesn't do good work. I honestly haven't dealt with either one.

Iron Pig did the lift on my Tundra several years ago. I bought the parts, and they installed it. Did it in one day.

Oh ok I got ya, I remember the owner being a chill dude. Any idea how he was driving the business down? You would think the owner of all people would be pushing business.

No all this was from a conversation with another dad at a Boy Scout event. I don't even remember his name now. Funny the things you can just walk up to a guy and start a conversation about. He had his work done by Forged and that was how I learned of their business.

The old FJ Land Crushers are their specialty, but they work on other vehicles too.
