    Praying for a good transplant for you, I know it's been a long time coming for you and your family. Twenty years ago I donated a kidney to my daughter and now she is close to needing another transplant. Seems like they are a lot fussier about donors these days but they did make me loose 40 pounds before they would take my kidney back then. Anti rejection drugs have come a long way since then too.     At the time of her transplant the docs screwed up her initial anti-rejection drugs and told us it would only last 4-5 years, I said BS, my kidney was as big as an Idaho spud and I gave her a 20 year guarantee! August 12th is that date! We attribute the longevity to God not my silly guarantee though. I'll keep you in my prayers.

    Have an aunt who's lasted for 30 years, surprised the hell out of the doctors, especially because she was one of the first to get a transplant. Just celebrated her 60th! Shes back on dialysis now but if you're lucky it can last a while. Hope for the best. I have a cousin on the wait list as well.

    it actually turned out to be a relative of my wife... she saw the news story on ABC... her mom was a donor so it inspired her to inquire... it took a year of processing to get this far, so i am pretty much ready... haha
