damn I like some of the JDM vintage wheels. I had no idea some of these type of wheels were available for trucks to be honest with the exception of volks te's. I miss being a wheel hoarder.

It's amazing the breadth of what's out there, and a majority of it is inexpensive by comparison!

What's inexpensive? I remember when I would hoard 1500-1700 for some rays/volks where a steal

Probably on auctions in Japan. Sets like that usually go for about $1k.

Can still get a bronze set in 16x7J +25 for that much (includes PayPal fees and shipping cost from overseas).

This seems like a tread where people would be knowlegable. I just regeared to 4.10's, installed apr wheel studs and put 13mm spacers upfront. After being told several times by ccw they could make a wheel with a 6x139.7 patern when I tried to order it was told they cannot make that pattern. I was looking for a 16x9.5 3 piece wheel with 5" backspacing. I have called around a bunch (weld, bbs, rotiform, summit racing, tire rack) and it's proving to be pretty difficult. I haven't called work, rays, or ssr yet though. Any other suggestions to try?

If you're looking for new, just keep knocking on doors. But SSR doesn't have any off-road offerings currently, and neither RAYS nor WORK have the specs you're looking for. Could they do something custom? Sure, but it'll be a hard sell.
I recommend building something custom. For example, I can get you some older forged faces from SSR or RAYS, and then we build them to your desired specs. Or I can source faces for you, and you build them. Either way though, the overall project will be kinda pricey.

You have my interest. Can you in fact mix and match rims and centers? I hadn't even thought of this, however, my problem still would seem to be a 16" center with a 6x139.7 bolt pattern. Do you know how to find/source this or what brands to look at?

    I bought these last year

    Make: Work Wheels
    Model: Pitney Deerfield
    Spec: 16x8 +8
    Bolt: 6x139.7

    IMG_5954.jpg

Thinking of selling them. The wheels are currently disassembled to refinish the faces and I've had replica "Pitney" decals made

@greenEFSI -- Nice! Why not put them on your '15 TRD Pro?

@savethewheels Thanks! Well the plan was to put them on a regular tacoma. I ended up with the pro and I'm not sure if I want to put them on. I feel like it would take away from the whole fact it's a pro, or I'm just over thinking the issue lol

    Agreed!
Are the faces forged or cast, @greenEFSI? If forged, you might have a decent performance benefit from using them. Ever lb of unsprung weight equals roughly 10 lbs of sprung weight.

@savethewheels I know the lips and barrels are forged for sure, I'm almost positive the faces are cast. Have to double check when I get home

Dug up some more pics before I disassembled them. The windows on the faces are coarse so that's why I think they are cast.
