Nice find! They have rear bumpers too.

I've been looking for a DIY rear bumper, too.

    Looks awesome!

I'm jealous! I got the same equipment at work but cutting my own stuff is a big no no.

So I'm using cutting discs for the plate work haha

This is what I have so far...

If you need some tubing bent let me know, Im right outside Campbell

Awesome. Watching progress. Do you have a plan or drawing? Or are you just rolling with it?

If you don't already have a 30 amp 125 volt outlet, I would do that before trying to weld a bumper. With average 15-20 amp breaker you will be tripping it every few minutes.

Oh reallly? They won't let you cut after hours ? My job is prettt lax as long as you don't abuse ur freedom. Let's link up. Maybe we can help each other out. I would really like to bend some tube and it's actually one thing we don't have. I would love to learn. Message me please

Long story short. A guy on ttora gave me 2D drawings of his bumper. I used the general dimensions (mounting etc ) and made my own in solid works. This is an older revision and doesn't show the whole winch assembly and support in the back. It's all I got in my phone. I'll post new one up later. I gotta go hunt down more material tomorrow.

Na it's a little more complicated, a lot of politics behind it. So I just day dream the truck stuff I can build at work ahaha

I'm down, just started bending recently but did my research and bought a jd^2 so the bends are nice. Notching funky angles correctly is the hard part.

Yea I'm still thinking about what I will do but so far I really like the Elite Off Road bumper but they are no longer available so I was thinking of making my own but was hoping someone with this bumper would be willing to share the sizes with me. Otherwise it will take me to long to make it from scratch. in that case id just probably go with the NWTI bumper.

I've been welding over 25 years and I've had well over 10 different welders. A Lincoln 125is totally fine as long as your using gas not flux. Turn that dial up to 7 outta 10 and get the wire speed down to where you have no kickback and weld it up. I recommend using .023 wire and take your time. Take a grinder with a wire cup brush and clean all the joints really well and clean the material w some mineral spirits or paint thinner and it'll weld perfect.
My favorite welder is my trusty miller 140 w .023 wire. I can weld 3/16 like a champ w that set up

Looks good!! The Downside if it is friends be asking you to make them one.

The Hard part is explaining why it would cost so much just to break even.
