Finally installed a massive piece of butcher block in my garage, that I've been saving/storing for 7 years.

I still wanted to be able to park cars in the garage, so I used giant hinges that allow the top to fold down when not in use.

The tabletop is held up temporarily with 2x4's. I need suggestions on what to do for foldable legs. Gotta be able to hold up table top, which is a heavy m*fcker.

    Ideas welcome!

How about a counter sunk hole in the bottom of the Block that accepts a couple of black pipe legs?

Thinking for the CB, between passenger seat and center console.
For the antenna, at the back of the bed/between the tailgate and bed.

Cool, that will work. Your mount is your ground so it's gotta go into the chassis, that works well.

Cool, glad to hear. Did some research before picking parts, but idk much at all about CBs, so I figured check before spending money.

How does the radio itself typically get mounted? I mean what kind of hardware and modding is involved? I guess I will figure it out when I see it in-cab, but just curious if there is anything I'll need.

The CB comes with a bracket.

Obviously mine is mounted differently, but the bracket shown is what you will get.

Have been traveling England's countryside the last 12 days so here is a random observation for you guys: have seen about 5 Hiluxs and all of them have been utility vehicles like masons, plumbers, etc. The British seem to stay true to their brand because the off-road vehicle of choice out in the countryside are these Landrover "Defenders". Have seen 10-15 so far and everyone of them had a snorkel. Have seen only 1 jeep the entire time I have been here. There's your random observation for the day!

Oh nice. Just a matter of deciding where/how to mount it once I see how it fits.

I might go with this idea. I think there might be a pipe flange that I could use to attach underneath the block and screw in the black pipe.

    Thanks Jimmy!

Just as here you may see one defender but will absolutely see 10-15 jeeps. Other than the people in this thread you rarely see a lifted or modded tacoma actually used off road. A lot of rough country type trucks out there though.
