I don't mean to hijack the thread, but does anyone have experience with 34x10.50r17's? I got the generals to stop rubbing by adjusting the alignment and theoretically the tires might be an inch and a half taller but they are 1.3 inches narrower than the X3's true to size. I'm thinking that this will be a good size for me.

I've been considering the X3 on my 2nd gen.

Gonna be honest, my friend burned through a set of K02s on his 4Runner in about 20,000 miles.

On the STT front, my friend had some; the road noise was bad and they don't last SUPER long, but they do last 30-40k depending on the driver and the type of miles. If you want a tire for miles and don't mind the extra $, go with the Toyo Open Country M/T, I've seen 60,000 mile tread life.

Those are extremely heavy tires. I would love them but the weight kills it for me.

I can't imagine how you could go through a set of KO2s that fast. I have always gotten over 60K and replaced when they still had pretty good tread. That's crazy.

What size are these and how are they working out for you? Any idea what kind of mileage you're getting?

285's They are doing very well for my needs. Great off-road traction, pretty good highway manners. Getting around 15mpg, but I wouldn't put too much thought into that number, because I don't usually grandpa the truck around

He isn't the most reserved driver, but I'm 100% serious that this happened.

Considering how soft the actual tire compound feels, my X3's have been wearing very well, especially considering the amount of highway use they've been seeing.

Just ordered a set of the general x3's in 285/75/16. Should be here and on my truck by next weekend. I will post up some pictures and a review on my first impressions and will keep up to date on my on going experience with them...

Torn between these and KO2s. I have General grabber AT2s now and they've been decent but at 42k I'm having trouble keeping them balanced

My wife got my rims and tires mounted for me today while I was sleeping for night shift tonight. 16x8 ray 10's 285/75 /16 general grabber x3. I'm right at 3 inches of lift and I have no rubbing at all on normal street driving. Tires are pretty quiet for a M/T. Only put 30 miles on them so far on the interstate driving to work. 20170725_173002.jpg 20170725_172933.jpg 20170725_172950.jpg

Let me know when you do this please. Since we live in South LA, it would be good info for me.

Edit: Looks good, but I'd like to know how they handle the wet.

I have them on my truck. I have driven about 90 miles so far, mostly interstate to work and back. first impressions are good. They are pretty quiet for M/T's. I'm sure they will get louder as they wear. They seem to balance prett ygood,I have a very small steering wheel shack between 45-50 mph that goes away completely at higher or lower speeds. They track nice and straight. Dry traction is what you would expect from a M/T,not as much grip as you get with an all terrain. It rained pretty bad today so i got to see what they are like in the rain. Wet traction as not bad at all. They plow through standing water very well. I'm running 285/75/16 so they are a little less complaint in the turns but they sure do soak up the bumps in the road. Overall i like them. Can't wait to see how they handle offroad.

7,500 miles on my set so far.

Weekday highway/commuting, weekend beach driving, infrequent trail driving, still loving them!
Wear is excellent, wet traction is good considering the type of tire, beach driving is great, but their real strength is hard/rocky soil traction and mud, wow!
