TODAY IS A GLORIOUSLY HAPPY MOTHER-FUCKING DAY!!

The world's worst neighbor and mortal enemy of volunteer HOAs everywhere just PUT HIS HOUSE UP FOR SALE!!! He's the total asshole: lies about his "net worth" (no one gives a shit), is excessively noisy, is inconsiderate of other's property, friends and family are rude, and has repeatedly violated multiple clauses in his homeowner's contract. We don't ask much - pick up your trash, mow your yard, follow the design guidelines, and respect your neighbor's rights.

    BEGONE, FOUL COCK-GOBBLER!!

With his departure, our community can return to one of affordable peace and comfortable enjoyment. ANYONE who buys that home cannot be as bad, especially since we're amending the covenant this fall to make sure someone like him can't operate the way he did.

A volunteer homeowners association's role is to protect the rights of ALL members of the neighborhood, maintain and enforce community-established and accepted standards, and keep up the common areas. We are CHEAP - $150 a year, because the board members are all residents who do not take a salary. We do it for free to keep our community nice. Our residents say "hi" to each other, respect each other's property and privacy, and do a pretty good job keeping a clean, well-groomed neighborhood. It's really a great place to live, and about to get even better.

If anyone is looking for a nice 2-story 4-bedroom home in South Austin with convenient access to a lot of great Austin amenities that ALSO happens to be next door to perhaps the greatest volunteer HOA President in the world, PM me.*

*He's got a pretty nice truck, too.

Does anyone going on the Hill Country trip on Saturday have an SWR meter and know how to use it?

Last time I used my CB I was told it wasn't working well by others.

Haha that's awesome to hear man! My dad volunteered as HOA president for a few years before taking a volunteer position on the city board... people in the HOA are easy to hate but I doubt its understood how much utter, ridiculous bullshit happens that VOLUNTEERS have to deal with.

That is FACT. I'm always "dude, I live here too, I don't get paid to deal with your shit, and can you PLEASE for the love of Christ stop leaving your Goddamn trash cans in the middle of the fucking street??"

Honestly, it's been years since we had any issues like that. Just the occasional "I don't like how neighbor X parks their car." Seriously? It's his car, in his driveway! Get over yourself!

Sounds more tame than up north, haha. These people are bat shit.

We had an issue with people BLASTING down our street at 55+ when the speed limit is 25, since the road to get to our house is downhill. My dad had me sit in a service drive and light bar people who were obviously doing 40+

Went to the meeting and a few soccer moms started complaining about "someone using their light bars on on-coming traffic". My dad said he'd make it priority number one to catch that neighborhood nightmare and bring him to justice.

A bad neighbor was one of the (many) reasons we moved from our last house. Along with multiple HOA violations he would blast his car stereo at all hours of the day and night. His bass was so loud that things in our house would shake. Together, a neighbor and I confronted him one day about it and he had absolutely no regard for anyone else. After a couple visits from the police for noise complaints and being cited for illegally running a business out of his home he toned it down a little.

I think @Tynan has one and I know he's going on the morning run. The trip is being organized in a separate thread, right?
