A long time ago, I remember reading about a dude on here who combined his leaf springs with some springs from the junk yard. I think they were chevy springs. I was unable to find the thread so I am asking you guys about it.

I have an 05 Tacoma with Icon AAL and OME rear shocks. It was good for about a week. Now it is frowning. This was maybe 5 years ago. I am sick of it. Is there a cheap used leaf pack I can get from a junk yard and borrow parts to add to or replace my leaf pack? More more bolt on and easy to fit the better. Looking for a littbe bit more lift and firmer springs.

    Thanks.

OP you are talking about OMD (Old Man Doug) springs.
I've got a OMD setup now with a couple of chevy leafs tucked in there.
My next step is bite the bullet and just replace them with 63" chevy after cutting / welding.

Run a search for OMD in the title, you will find lots of examples of bastard packs.
