Yup, picked up a set from @nj636 a few weeks ago, good dude, nice work. Doing the tie rods too. And with all of the suspension and axles out of the way I'm putting in DTF motor/trans mounts.

Going back a couple days with the CV boot discussion, I'm getting a lot of nods that the OEM boots are the way to go. Tim at DMZ said without a doubt, go with OEM. I'll just slide them out slightly if needed. I'm not looking to crank the front up very high anyway. The DMZ rear gives a max of 1.5" lift.

I'm fairly certain after a few days of research that the SDHQ boots are simply stock replacement EMPIs for a lot more money. I was very close to going that route.

I'd really rather be in my garage. Learning how to weld.

Now that my 4th has been ruined by that image.. @Tatts521 where did you take your truck for an alignment after you lifted it? Took it to pep boys this morning and they can only do OE spec.

Another option is CVJ axles! Time will tell how they last but I know @HolyHandGrenade runs them as well and seem to have held up!

Last night @MY50cal and myself battled my old CV's and threw the new ones in!

Gotta say it drives like butter now

Note: this pic was before we tightened the axle nut so the outer fins look like they are close to the shock

Yeah, 930 style is what they say. Not OEM copies, bad wording.

Cvj's are just expensive. And that core charge sucks

Too expensive if the you don't put a dollar amount on the time to reboot lol

Also $95 per core I'm ok with personally :notsure:

They're rebuilt OEM axles. Should hold up like factory axles. Strongest option that I've heard of thus far. And, I am a fan of the high angle boots.

Needs to be figured into the equation regardless. Some of us could be earning instead of working on the truck.
