Hey guys! New to the forum so bear with me...Can anyone recommend a full lift kit for my 2010 dcsb? I was looking at the bilstein 5100s all around with 2887 coils and deaver aal in the rear. Not looking to spend much over $1000 but also want something that will perform offroad and give me some decent clearance for 33-35" tires. I went to headstrong offroad and was wondering if i should add the light racing upper control arms to the package deal. Anyone have experience with this combination? Heres a link to my shopping cart as of right now.

    https://www.headstrongoffroad.com/store/checkout#cart

    Thanks in advance.

Thats a good mid range/entry setup. For 887s i would add ucas. You may not need them but just do it all at once and have the caster adjustability.

For 35s, there will be a lot of trimmimg, a lil sledging, some welding.

Thanks for the insight Silverspool. Does anyone have any pictures of their trucks with this or a similar setup? Should I spend the extra dough for the camburg or total chaos UCAs or are the regular Light Racing fine? Don't want to cheap out on that part since its pretty important and I'll have it forever.

total chaos are unibal right? and they arent adjustable. LR SPC are adustable and have grease zerks for maintenance, as well as replacement ball joints for quick repair.

You are in good hands with @HeadStrong Off-Road!

I'd suggest UCAs of you can afford to do it. Cheaper to install all at once. Plus those 887s could net you 3" lift. Too align things right you may need upgraded UCAs.

The SPC LR UCAs are a great budget option. That's what I did on my truck.

For 33" or bigger tires you'll need to look at your wheel backspacing and trim some things under the front wheel wells. And if you do 285 or wider tires you'll need to do the "Cab Mount Chop".

Thanks for the responses guys! So with a 2.5-3 inch lift, what are the biggest tires I can get away with without having to chop anything up? If I replaced the bumper with an off-road model would that help me out at all?

265-75-16 will fit without problems. People around here say 255-85-16 (aka pizza cutters) with minimal cutting (no can mount chop). I've got my "pizza cutters" coming later this week. I'll let you know how much :sawzall::laser::sawzall: I have to do. Good luck.

I'm running pizza cutters and have had to do no trimming at all. This only applies to stock wheels though (or comparable wheels with a lot of backspacing). They look great too.

@TRDeeznutz how do you like the 5100s? Do they perform well off road?

I have no complaints. Dont expect a soft plushy ride like a stock taco. The 887's do stiffen up the ride a good amount.

Pretty good. I did some cutting of the plastic fender flare where I could see rubbing but not much. I also had to adjust the front springs to give it ~2.5” lift and then get it aligned. I took it to Moab without rubbing. No cab mount chop needed. Rear did not require any modifications. Every now and then when sharply turning right into a incline I may hear a little rubbing on the front passenger side, but I think with a heat gun I should be able to fix that. Here’s a picture (don’t mind the misaligned bumper, already fixed) AF6366BA-6904-450E-83D1-991C19CF6E22.jpg

Thanks @henryp I've been contemplating this tire size for a while. Trying to decide whether I should just go with 265-75-16s or upgrade to 17inch rims which seem to have some more options. I really like the look of those 255-85-16s but I don't want to put too much stress on my dif with stock gear ratio. It's good to know that you didn't have too much rubbing. I am trying to avoid the cab mount chop but also want to gain some clearance with larger tires so these may be a viable option. Thanks again for your input.

Those were my predicaments. Here are my findings:
    Pro:
    Gained 1.5” clearance
Able to get higher load rating tire that’s more aggressive for off road use. I went with coopers St maxx.

    Cons:
    Minor cutting needed
    Slows your ride down
    Less responsive steering
    Decreased breaking power
Vibes as a result of the lift (front end required ECGS bushing upgrade, rear needed CB drop kit)

If you can live with all that then go for it.
