Never really thought I'd do a build thread but what the hell, sooner or later someone will ask what's been done so here it goes.

Goal for this build is a reliable DD that can still go out and wheel but is somewhat incognito Monday thru Friday. It won't be a dedicated wheeler for years so nothing too crazy. I am not a big fan of aftermarket stuff hanging out all over the place, i.e., huge roof racks / bed racks (with stuff that only gets used occasionally like tents and gas cans), lot's of tube work, swing-outs etc, so I everything needs to fit the body lines so that untrained eyes don't really notice the mods.

Drove a built 01'TJ for ten years but the arrival of my son dictated a more reliable and safer vehicle, enter the Taco.

    It's 2015 4x4 Off-Road 6spd.

    Current Mods:

    Suspension:

Bilstein 6112's at 3rd notch with 1/4" spacer to deliberately increase droop
    LR UCAs
Dakar rear (newer light duty variants; I go out of my way to pack light and most of the time it's unloaded)
    Bilstein 5160 rear
    Super bumps front and rear
U bolt flip rear with homemade cnc machined mounts for the super bumps.

    Rims and tires:

    285/75/17 Ridge Grapplers
    17x8 SCS F5s

    Regeared to 4.11s

    Armor:

Southern Style offroad slimline with hoop and lightbar cutout
    Pelfreybilt standard rear bumper
    All Pro aluminum front skid
    All Pro Mid Skid
All Pro Transfer Case Skid (modified flat with a removable aluminum bottom)
    RCI Rock Sliders (gently used)

    Lighting:

25" made in china light bar in SSO
2 LED spots behind the grillcraft (on a homemade Bridgeport / bandsaw mount)

    Electrical:

Blue sea fuse box on a homemade mount with 6 relays ready to go
    100A breaker
OTRATTW 6 switch panel in rear sun glass holder
    Foglight anytime MOD
    ABS / TRAC off switch

    Communication:

Uniden Pro 520XL mounted where the front sun glass holder was
Baofeng Ham hanging off of my homemade AC mounts

    Misc / Aesthetic:

    Weathertech Floor mats F/R
TRD seat covers courtesy of Craigslist
Homemade CNC bedmount bars using 8020 Tslot
Exhaust reroute for the TC skid tuck
2 different homemade CNC machined shift knobs
Grillcraft grille (done to get rid of chrome and to hide the spot lights)
    ARB on board air compressor
    Pinchweld beatdown
Cab Mount Chop like a mofo
    Homemade A-pillar ram mount
Homemade CNC machined external reservoir clamps for the 5160s
Homemade CNC machined Lostsheep AC mounts for RAM mounts
Homemade CNC machined brackets for a OEM roof rack mounted lightbar
Cut mudflaps that have now been shitcanned but might go back on
Homemade TACOMA stickers on the door (I have a 48" vinyl cutter)
Debadged tailgate and replaced with homemade Toyota 4-wheel drive stickers

MODS to be done in near future and/or in Progress:

Upgrade to rear hydraulic bump stops (they're here just need to find time to fab brackets and weld)
Fab mounts for longer rear shocks, change to 5165s?
FAB up hybrid body / frame mounted sliders capable of actually taking the trucks weight (had a set of BAMF bolt on but just wasn't to my liking)
FJ Cruiser case with twin sticks (caseS are here, building before swap to minimize downtime)
Design and machine a cable actuated ADD (RevA in progress)
I'd really like a cable actuated sway bar disco (still thinking this one thru but I'm working on it)
    Install some FU backup lights
    Install Rock Lights
Locker anytime MOD (not a high priority but too cool to skip)

A buddy of mine works for a local dealer here in San Jose and was able to work a sweet deal with a southern California dealer; both dealers are owned by the same parent company and by my best estimate they sold it to me for about $500 over what they paid for it with the promise that they would get the same deal on an Audi when they needed to call the favor in.

How it sits as of 9/19:

Here it is the night it showed up in San Jose, but the 4uck#rs wouldn't let me take it home until they received it properly or some nonsense like that; my buddy deliberately parked it in their extra secure lot so I wouldn't steal my own truck lol.
