I'm buying some URD headers from a gentleman. He's also selling the Y-Pipe seen in the image. Claims it's the URD Competition Y-pipe for the 4x4, but I already have one of those in the garage and it doesn't look at all like this.

Looks a bit like the y-pipe that comes with the URD Spec-U exhaust, but I've never seen those additional pipes by the header mounts. Resonators? Any ideas?

Mostly just curious if anyone out there has seen this y-pipe before and can shed some light on who makes it and what model it might be.

    Thanks kindly!

Helmholtz style resonators are the capped pipes.

That style resonator is great actually. It eliminates additional drone which can be created from headers and/ or super loud mufflers. Get that setup that you have posted picture of. You will enjoy it. I would do something like that myself, but my exhaust is free of drone and has a nice sound to it naturally already.

    Thanks is a lot everyone!
I guess the question now is...

Buy his older specU y-pipe with resonators the likely WOULD fit despite my lift and lowered diff, but have to modify my Aeroturbine cat-back with a vband
    OR
Modify the newer URD competition y-pipe I already own to reach the down pipes around my front drive shaft.

    Choices choices :annoyed:
