Awesome thanks! I was on my way to autozone to buy a hex socket to weld into the drain plug then I realized I didn't know what size I needed.... then we ran out of gas for the welder soooo it'll have to wait until tomorrow. Guess I'll be whipping the evo for a few days.

Tie Rods are in - ProForged inner and outter. Install went smoothly - used a 13$ ABN tie rod removal tool (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B06XWBZ4Y...8-1-spons&keywords=tie+rod+removal+tool&psc=1) since my 40$ harbor freight removal tool didn't fit... Go figure should have just stuck with the cheap universal tool. The ProForged outter tie rods when bolted down seem a bit long (the threaded section) because by the time the castle nut is tightened down the hole for the cotter pin is above the entire castle nut itself. I mean I'm not going to worry too much right now but I'll machine a washer to raise the nut up a bit higher so I can utilize the cotter pin properly. The passengerside had to be removed as a whole piece whereas the driverside came out perfectly in sections so I'll hold onto that side as a backup set.

I used the following proforged parts:
    Inner Tie Rod - 31$ - https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00P0LDLVE/ref=oh_aui_search_detailpage?ie=UTF8&psc=1
    Outter greasable tie rod - 22$ - https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B008VMQ84G/ref=oh_aui_search_detailpage?ie=UTF8&psc=1

edit - this is what the harbor freight tie rod removal tool looks like - https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B...7-b4d4-466b-8c26-2639359664eb&pf_rd_i=desktop

Woke up to a massacre in my front lawn.. I had a rabbits nest near the corner of the yard from my 'pet' rabbit/lawn mower. Someone or something came through and killed all the babies - the weird part is that they didn't have bite marks on them - it was a clean slit on the side of their necks consistent between the 2 I found and just now my tenant finding another one near the side entrance.

Anyone know what kind of birds these are? They live under my pergola. I think the parents are about the same color, not a whole lot bigger than the chicks, the noise they make is just one high pitched chirp at a time, and they flick their tails. But, I could have picked out the wrong two as parents since I've never actually seen them at the nest.

I also think they eat wasps. They used to build nests there, but as soon as the birds showed up they left. They also might be birds who like to nest near water, on account of the river.

Hi everyone. I'm too tired to be at work today.

I texted a picture of those chicks to my brother in law. He will know what they are for sure.

Great pictures. Short tails on the adults? Do they seem pretty territorial when you go near the nest?

    Am thinking maybe House Wren.

Not sure what type of birds use moss like that. Kinda cool. Unless it is a bird that takes over other nests as their own.

    Cool!

Yes, relatively short. The adults won't go anywhere near me. Any time I try to approach them, they'll go further away. Haven't managed to get within about 25 feet of them.

Hard to tell if they even notice when I go near the nest. They will chirp from a nearby tree when I do, but they do that a lot anyway. I've heard them chirp outside the bathroom window in the morning.

They look a lot like an eastern phoebe (as far as I can tell from 25 ft away), but they don't make the same sounds.

They are trying to get you away from their nest, more than likely.
Wrens don't usually make that type of nest. o_O
    Still poking around.

I'm not 100% sure if they built the nest. It's possible it was there. I happened to notice it at the same time that they showed up, but I hadn't really looked at that spot before.

The birds look like they could be the same too. Also says "nests are generally located near fresh running water." Makes perfect sense. Just never heard the "FEE-BEE" call.

Seconded. They're definitely Phoebes. We have a couple that hatch 2-3 broods per year around the house. They flit around and "chip!" at me whenever I'm out near the chicken coop.

So they'll stick around year after year?

That would be fantastic! They solved my really bad wasp problem, so I'm thrilled that they're there.

They've got a great spot--right next to the river, but sheltered from the rain at the same time.

Yeah, we've had the same pair (or at least a pair using the same nest) every summer that we've been in the house. We also have zero wasp problems.

I see a few around sometimes, but I had a ridiculous amount before. I kept spraying and knocking down nests only to find three more under construction the next day. Now I think they've started building far enough away from the house (and the birds) where I don't notice them.

The first summer that we were here we had a ton of them building nests under the vinyl siding on the house and the garage, and under the overhangs. I put my canoe upside down on a rack and the Phoebes had built a nest in it not even 2 weeks later, and by the end of the summer the wasps had all disappeared.
