For anyone thats bought this. Im debating on getting this. I would really only have a practical use for this in the HOT Arizona summer to help cool down the truck. My hesitation is, how much cooler will the truck get from the distance the remote is capable of and me walking to the truck? If that makes sense. Basically i would like a way to cool the truck before i get in it.

What are your thoughts? In the time it takes to walk to your car, how much cool does it get in the truck? Thoughts, comments, feedback, etc. Thanks!

I also posted in the maim for sale section, but i figure posting in the AZ section i may get more relevant answers.

Any headstart on cooling is a plus. I think it would be m ore benaficial at some place like home. Were you start it will getting ready to leave. I don't know the range on the remote.

I normally park in a garage, it would get more use when im out or when my truck is parked in the sun.

Any headstart on cooling would help is the truth. AZ summers suck!

I understand that I live in Scottsdale. How far is the range? Maybe they could tell you over the phone.

I ordered it when KB put up the pre-order on their site back in nov/dec. Installed it within a week and love it. Now if only my a/c hadnt broke so i would be willing to drive my truck.

Same as the door locks. You can add another pc thats plug and play with a small monthly fee to use an app on your phone from any distance.

I dont think they do but I just looked and its a Viper smart start. theres another option too that I just found thats good for 1/2-1mi away but it sounds like it requires another remote not the key fob. Heres the original thread started by the member that started it all before KB took over to sell it since he couldnt keep up with demand due to his full time job. Also not sure what you drive @mechanicjon but it is only for 3rd gens with push start. https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/3rd-gen-remote-start-using-oem-remote.463996/
