Made a custom diff drop instead of the full one inch spacer i got some aluminum stock tube cut half inch sections with a 1/2 inch hole in the center. Skid plates and everything fit just perfect and it made a dofference for mine atleast

    jesus christ

fucking thats not looking good buddy.

i thought mine where bad when i got my lift done.

i went with the procomp lift and that particuar lift has a spring rate of 730 pounds! my truck no shit sat at just over 4.75 inches the day it was installed. its impossible to tell from the pics but the fins where not actually touching they where extremely close but when i got down there with a bright light they where not touching at all. maybe yours are the same way and i can't tell from the pics all i know is there looks like a nice little groove forming on your cv boot there so that tells me at some point during your driving they are touching.

lol i actually thought mine where ok thats what the shop told me
so i go posting pics on tw acting like mine are ok an shit lol everybody was like dude those look horrible

so i put on an arb bull bar that helped a tiny bit then i added a warn m8k
with steel line and its finally acting and riding like it should plus i have a plate steel front skid.

i would get a diff drop installed asap i have one and i'm actually glad that i installed that piece of crap now. i know that they do not make a big difference on the 2nd gens but, fuck at his point it ain't gonna hurt things. try getting some weight out front if you don't already have a steel bumper and winch i would either take that lift off or start saving for them now.

for reference heres what mine looked like the day after the instal @ over 4.75 inches above stock. i know it might not look that high in the picture but, trust me it looked huge in person even compared to other lifted tacos.

I'm going to lower the coils tonight, hopefully that will help with the angle some. :(

lol it was so bad that procomp has changed their website and vehicle configuration thingy excluding the 4cyl tacoma from being compatible with this lift.

it was pretty bad dude lol. i sorted it now but its still over three inches and my cv's are still closer than i'd like them to be.

Checked it out last night and they are definitely touching. Attempted to adjust the coils but wasn't successful. Just going to bring it back to the shop next week. Hopefully they hold up till then. :(

If anyone is worried about it... just measure from hub to fender. If its close to 23 or even 23.25. then you will be fine. :)

just put my 3"OME lift on no diff drop as it was on before some odd vibrations were coming through the steering wheel. Took it off for now to allow some settling in the OME 887 springs and see what happens I have put about 60 miles or so on it since the lift. What do you guys think of the angle? That bad or decent, considering? What are my options and what the hell is the deal with the diff drop kit causing that unruly pulsing vibration through my steering wheel during decelerations around 25-35mph???

Rough country 3in lift on my 13 Tacoma TRDOR. My measurements are as fallowed...

    Front ground to Fender: 40in
Rear ground to Fender : 41in

    Front hub to Fender: 25in
Rear hub to Fender : 26in

I'm so confused on why it lifted it so high.

Fidgit07. Your CV angles look really good to me. Those look like a just under 23" center of hub to bottom of wheel measurement. Are you measuring from the center of the hub? I'll take some pics of mine and also post measurements.

So, say someone had a much higher lift, and the cv axels were at a much more straining angle— sometimes causing them to pop out when using 4x4– would there be any brands recommended that would accommodate for that large an angle? I’ve heard people using tundra axels on tacomas but haven’t actually seen any proof of improvement.

How do these angles look? I'm sitting at 37" 1/4" driver side and 37" (From the ground to the fender)
