Looking for a new rig, and I've found a new '17 trd off-road with a factory tonneau about 6 hrs from home. A local dealer, offering the same truck, will throw in an Undercover Flex tonneau to beat the other dealer.

Thoughts/opinions on the factory tonneau vs Undercover Flex? Is the factory significantly better and worth the journey? Thanks from a new poster.

I didn't like the idea of the factory cover sitting above the rails. Just a preference of mine. I ended up going with the undercover flex and installed it this afternoon myself. It's low profile and sits flush with the side rails of the bed. I haven't installed the drain tubes yet and am still trying to figure out what the 2 foam pads with adhesive backing are needed for. (3rd gen Taco too.) I also like the fact that I can open up the cover and gain full access to the bed.
