Carbon is better than cheaper dyed material that fades.

    The tiers are like so:
Dyed = bargain price but fades
Metallic = doesn't fade but screws with your radio and cell phone
Carbon = doesn't fade, doesn't screw with signals
Ceramic = $$$$$$$ but it rejects the most IR wavelengths which is what makes the car hot

And my understanding is with Ceramic you could actually do ~35% tint and have it stay cooler than a cheaper, darker tint.

@Istan , so how did your tint turn out? Me and my roommate are both looking at having our stuff done at Omar's. I need to sell my wheels though first :(

I think it turned out great. @Enjoihavok was there yesterday and got carbon too. I thought it was a great deal considering the place available near me was $250 for unknown dyed. o_O
I went darker than I think most would want.

@Milota95, you should see if Omar can do a tint party for TW since we seem to be going there one by one anyway.

Heck for me the 5% fronts may of been an option as even at the 20% (18%) it's still not super dark, I don't do a ton of night driving, but meh went with what I thought met the middle of the road for both worlds.

When he told me I already had 20% with my old tint, I told him 5% without missing a beat. I do admit night time is a little more difficult, but it's the rear that is giving me more problems.

5% front and 18% rear over the privacy glass. It came out even as far as I can tell.
