Hello, so I'm ready to order this lift from Headstrong but want to get 3 inches. Not sure if the 888 coils will be to high. I have a factory rake of one inch and would preferably keep 1/2 inch or so rake. I plan to do the HS AAL in the back which gives about 2 inches. 888 or 887?

    Thanks in advance for advice.

I believe this will settle at 2.8-3.0 inches up front. 285s I hope. Go for it.

Is that primary heavy off roading? Rated E is 10 ply right? Stiff ride?

Yeah they are pretty stiff. I have them aired down to about 32 psi to lighten the impacts some. They are also loud.

Go with the 888 and leave the 5100's on the zero setting. I would also order the light racing Upper Control arms (UCA's) so you wont have alignment issues. This will give you a true 3 inch lift after the springs settle unless your running a heavy aftermarket bumper/winch combination.

Thanks for the replys, I guess I was consered about the back sagging if I put a load on it but I guess the progressive AAL would take on the additional weight. I don't pull any thing right now but never know in the future. From what I am getting its best to go with the 888s. I found some 285/70 17 Duratrac on tirerack.com rated at D which is 8 ply.

I was told yes by a local shop, but every other shop said no if the lift was under 3" ...so I can't wait to see the answers here ?

I don't see any reason not to do a diff drop whether it is "needed" or not it's gonna help the axles out in the long run.

So the Adjustable UCA help for the re-alignment but also for when the coils settle?

Shop said the diff drop caused more issues at under 3" then it " potentially " helped ? I guess maybe save the cv's and grease spray

    So I guess it's between the 888's with 5100's
And the 6112-5160's for me ?
The first would be cheaper ...and all I do is trails as I'm not a crawler :).
But if the 6112 setup was a lot better I'd pay the extra $$$

I am with you. When you start thinking about the 6112-5160 setup the price goes up a good amount. Almost enough to be like well why not go with some Fox coilovers, in which case one could argue why not just pay a little more and get Kings? If your going with Kings just go long travel for a little more and do it right......see where I am going? lol

I was the same way. Just got a good deal on some brand new OME 888 that were never used and I could not pass it up. That made my decision for me. 5100's it is.
