I installed my rack this past weekend. Looks great. Couple of comments regarding installation:

    - I tried putting down the 3m tape so that the weather strip wouldn't contact directly with teh paint, but got impatient with doing it correctly and without bubbles... then just told myself: never look under the weather strip ever.
    - I used the leather hole punch method on the weather strips, and one hole (the center single hole section) was slightly off. This caused the weather strip to bubble up a little bit after installation. I don't think it much matters, but I wish I had made slightly larger holes through the weather stripping and then just loaded it with silicon during installation.
    - I installed mine by installing the side pieces first, then the crosspieces on the truck (i.e. constructed the rack on top of my truck). mainly because I didn't have anyone to help me and didn't want to drop the constructed rack and scratch my roof. I actually thought this went pretty well if you're solo, but my intuition is that building it first then having help setting on top of the truck is the better way to go.

I certainly noticed more noise, but it's not unbearable (wife and daughter went for a ride with me post-installation, and didn't comment on it). I have the moonroof, and it's loud enough at a slower speed than before to shut the roof. But I knew that going in.

I'll be installing mine solo as well. I've already figured I'm going to assemble first. Then I'm going to hoist it up with a rope over a tree branch and slowly lower it until it's just barely touching, and bolt down. Sounds simple, huh? Hahahaha.....we'll see!

I did mine solo in about 2.5 hours, did not assemble first. I'd recommend assembling on the truck, if you don't though, remember to leave everything loose until the end. That rope in the tree trick makes me think you are going to end up with a scratched truck. Hope not though, report back!

The whole rack only weighs 45 lbs or so. I just lifted it into the bed of my truck then carefully set it on top of the cab from behind. high risk, for sure but it wasn't unmanageable.

It's the 4 holes in the front of the rack where the air dam goes. I slotted the first hole so I'm OK. The first hole was 1 1/4"on center apart instead of the 1" on center apart like it should be.
    Hope that's not too confusing.

Nice find, though that ends up being a lot more on this side of the border. Good option though! Thanks.

I'm sure it wasn't cross threaded, I was quite careful putting it together, considering the aluminum.

Gonna do mine with 2 man operation and follow the video.
Still haven't added the airdam front piece and suggestions tips welcome I have read back a bunch of page. pics are good. Adding the ARB awning too on the side brackets from Prinsu.
Better on Passenger side or driver? My plan is pass side.

Good to know, I need to order custom length 1x2 bars for my TopRack and don't want to deal with the Prinsu/CBI lead times...

    Thanks for the info.

this is a long dense thread full of a lot of awesome. I have a question for y'all, for anyone running a single row led bar in the cutout on their prinsu rack, what is the glare in the windshield and off of the hood like? i have a white 3rd gen and think a rooftop bar would be awesome in conjunction with a grill light but I'm worried about the practicality. am i going to be blinded? would certain optics help reduce this? what is your experience?

I have a single row (Morimoto xTorch 40"), glare is pretty minimal but I think it really varies on how you set it up. The mounts I use house it behind the faring about an inch and a half and for the most part that cuts out the downward light from the bar. There is still some light that hits the hood but nothing bad at all

I would agree. I have a Rigid SR-40 single row 40" light bar and it sits a little behind the faring and even with it from the bottom of the light. The type of light you choose will have an effect as well as the placement in comparison to the faring. My light is spot in the middle and flood on the sides. If you got flood in the middle, you would probably get a lot more light hitting the hood and reflecting back.

I agree with these guys, even on a white truck the glare is not too bad with a single row as long as it is mounted behind the fairing.

I'm not sure about that one, but I got this one which is specially made for aluminum parts:

    Lots of sail boat fuel
And wear gloves when you use it.

Because it will get everywhere. Your hands. Your face, and it just multiplies and travels. If you're not familiar with never cease, just ask someone who is how they feel about it .

    Amazing stuff though.
