Also, found out that Rush has free primitive camping. First come first serve basis. Would be much moar betterer to camp there than my house, or a friends field.

That friend, will be our "guide" if he's available. If not, it's a free-for-all. He says the best time to wheel there is early before the drunks come out. Not sure about night wheeling, sadly.
Will post more info as it's available.

After reading trail damage reports of the last couple weeks, what specifically is it you wish to show them?

Longer wheelbase can do what they do.

Unless, they're on 40's, no fenders, 6"+ lift, LT, etc...

    Just between me and you..

You don't want to throw down the gauntlet between Jeeps and Tacomas. I've had both. In spite of their mediocre quality, Jeeps are pretty damn formidible in tight woods. They get around mighty damn good.

Just won't see me owning another one.

There's a reason why they've sold over 70 million Jeep "wrangler/cj" style vehicles. Tough act to beat on trails as much as it pains me to say it.

I agree to disagree as well. I've seen that shorter wheel base have difficulty's on some steeper rock formation's as well that the longer prevailed where I was worried about the shorter wheel base flipping while attempting.

Have you ever owned a Jeep? I have. 2 in fact. I'd do things I wouldn't dream of trying in a Tacoma. Never flipped once.

Just make sure you own a LOT of tools before you buy one

No, and you have a lot more years on me. I've wheeled with a lot. I'm also not saying they're not better or worse for whatever circumstance. I'm just saying that I've seen a couple struggle with a short wheel base here and there, where I've also seen the shorter wheel base prevail too.

One of mine was a CJ5. Very short wheel base. But....very light body, so lower tipping point. It would climb things a Tacoma may never even get a wheel on.

    Driver mod..

There are drivers that struggle with mall parking lots. Only fair comparison is with same driver in each vehicle.

Just had a very nice conversation with the owner/operator of Rush Off Road.

    I'll make a thread.
