Big Mike from Marlin Crawler brought his 2016 TRD Sport (with a hood swap) to the annual TLCA Rubithon event this past weekend. Sporting Dual cases and 37"s (soon to be 40's), the Taco made the trek from Loon Lake to the Springs with basically 0 damage (OK, a couple of scrapes on the front bumper and the trailer hitch). Truck looks amazing! Still a bit of trimming to do for him to fit the 40's (to test the limits of the after market CV's warrantied to handle up to 40" tires). Mikes goal was to keep the rig as low as possible and still fit 40's. Didn't quite get there due to time constraints so they slapped on Marlin's 37's which worked with only minor rubbing. Though this truck is a 6 speed, Mike says they now have dual cases available for both the 6 speed and the auto. For more pic's, check out Big Mikes thread on the Marlin Crawler Website.

Is this IFS or did he throw a solid axle in the front?

None that I'm aware of. I'd like to see that as well.......

All Pro had an image of a Turd Gen on 37s but said they needed to do a lot of trimming still to get rid of the rub: https://www.instagram.com/p/BVqUNUqFPcT/

It is IFS with I believe RCV shafts. He has a set of 40's to put on it but didn't have time to trim enough to fit. He drove it in on 37's mounted on Walker Evans wheels. If I remember right he has 4.88's in the diffs. With the Dual Cases it is around 230:1 in Low Low. The kit he has on the front makes it about 1.5" wider per side. Actually sits fairly low and looked amazing. I'll try to cut the size of my pics down and see if I can get them to post, but I'm sure he will have a ton of them up on his build thread on the Marlin Crawler Forum. Front fenders were simply cut as it is going to get fiberglass fenders in the near future. He is running All Pro Expedition leafs in the rear.

I already looked in his Marlin Crawler thread, but didn't see any which is why I asked. Thanks for posting them!

The event was just this past weekend...they left the springs fairly late and it be a bit of a haul back to Fresno so it might be a day or two before he gets the pics posted. He took a ton of pics on the run in from Loon Lake so I'm sure he will get them up on the forum soon. Sorry about my pics, had to dump them way down in size to get them to post as they were several megs each. I've known Mike since he was a "toddler" so had a long talk with him about the truck. Did very well on the run in and he was pretty stoked.

If you read my post, the front fenders were simply chopped as they are going to be replaced with after market fenders, so cut them a bit of slack. The front bumper will get replaced also.
