Camping and Safety!

 

I got some yard work to do this weekend but that's it on my list. Well that's all I'm going to do on my list.

 

well I know where Im going shopping for gerry cans! lol jk, that sucks..

 

Safety is all day every day for me. Camping isn't going to happen. I got 4 dogs that need to be watched and 0 camping gear. Plus Friday night I'm going to @azsean house to O-Scope his stereo in his truck.

I was arriving at widow maker as they were driving away from it.

 

I don't have justification for anyone that commits suicide, all I can say is that I can relate. The struggle is real. Multiple times in my life I've considered the"easy way out". Luckily my poor attempt at a cry for help has resulted in lots of love and support and I've been able to find the help I've needed. From my parents divorce at a young age and 2 younger siblings to take care of, to a heroin addiction that lasted many years, to bring imprisoned, to finding out my son wasn't mine and later being taken from me with no rights to him to do anything about it, to the recent loss of my father, best friend and employer. Sometimes a cry for help gets a response, sometimes there's nobody there. I understand hardship and while I have an incredible support group/family, the option still crosses my mind. Life isn't easy but neither should be the way out. It's my support that has kept me strong. It's that support that has kept me alive and after losing my father and the pain my family and I are going through, I could never take me own life. There truly is no reason to put loved ones through that kind of pain. It's selfish and there is always someone to talk to. There is always some kind of help out there. I've dealt with depression my whole life and even mental illness is no excuse. There are medications, support groups and programs out there that should be utilized. I'm still here and fighting and a fight, no matter how hard, is still worth living for. These experiences only make us stronger and nothing is permanent except death. This too shall pass. Tomorrow is a new day. I needed to share this for myself today. Thanks to anyone who listens. If you have a loved one struggling, be there for them. If you know someone who needs a friend, be a friend. If you know anyone that has considered suicide, let them know of the pain they will leave behind. Nobody deserves any kind of loss. Nobody is so down that they can't be helped back up. Thank you for letting me share. Just sharing helps sometimes. I love my Toyota community and wouldn't normally post anything like this but the last couple pages hit home. Thanks to others that have shared as well.

 

How often do you go there?

a few times a month... sometimes more. I live in Fountain hills so it's 20 min to Sycamore, 25 to Butcher Jones, and 30 to 4 peaks. I'd say I'm at one of them at least each week, and generally solo.

Alex, glad you can share. sometimes keeping that shit bottled up is the exact reason people do what they do. Glad you are recovering buddy. @05tacomabro

 

Your sharing on here has been a true blessing to me. It's good to share your struggles so others can relate. Sometimes you just need to know that your not the only one.

 

This world is full of people who can relate. Sometimes you just need accept that your not alone and share and let the people around you carry you for a bit until you find your feet again.
