We are staying at a campground just across the border in cedar mountain, NC this weekend. Gonna hike table rock and maybe go up to Oskar Blues brewery in Brevard! It's probably a good ride to HPR though but keowee toxaway is a nice little place to crash though and that's not a bad ride to HPR.

Take plenty of water this weekend for the hike. I work Saturday and would hate to have to make my way up the mountain.

I pulled ours through the mountains. It's around 3500 pounds and I thought at the time I could do another 1000 without any issues. It's not like a full size truck but I was well pleased. I assume you have the tow package?

Truck is rated at 6500 and has trans cooler. Biggest thing is to study up on how to tow. Shifting is where most of the heat comes from. If you don't cook the fluid, the trans will be OK. And service it more frequently if you tow a lot.

Yep have the tow package and all those goodies. Do you feel like you were limited as to what you could take with you (bikes, coolers, extra weight)?
And this was with your 5lugger? Or the new truck?
I'm tempted to try to find a bigger truck I can basically trade straight across for.
