I seam to be stuck between a rock (frame) and a hard place (cab)!

    - I set out today to replace all four body mount bushings.
    - I removed everything for Rear-Driver side bushing no problem. (Cab mount/bushing, Cab mounting bolt, Frame bracket bolts)
    - Little resistance, but to be expected for the undercoating/rust build-up.
    - I was in the process of removing the Front-Driver side, when I stripped one of the Frame Bracket Bolts (See picture below for which one I am mentioning)

It is the one closer to the frame, and is in a very tight spot.

I am curious what my options are to get this out. Will i need to try and cut it off? Will I have to remove all mounts and lift the cab (which will be almost impossible for me to do at the moment)

Has anyone been stuck in this situation before and had a trick to remove this bolt? Any and all help would be appreciated as I am baffled at how I will remove this.

    Cheers,
    Tim

    It definitely will!

My current thought is to try and get a small grinder in to flatten out the rounded edges on the bolt, and hope it will hold enough for me to remove it. But the bolt was tough for me to loosen as much as it is in the above picture.

Is the hole accesible from the bottom? You could cut it out with a sawzall or hacksaw, and get it out from the bottom. Then maybe re tap the hole.

You need to take the weight off that bushing, lock the bolt from turning, and sawzall your way through it.
    Replace the bushing and bolt...

Can you get a small set of vise grips on it? Or it would be difficult but weld/tack a larger nut on top of it and use a bigger wrench. Good luck.

Just what did you do Round the corners off the nut ??

Any of the sockets made for damaged nuts are a great investment

Penetrating lube of your choice works great

Strip the threads on the bolt?? If you stripped the threads and the nut just spins in place the whole piece needs to be cut out

The hole/nut that had this stuck bolt in it, was off-centered from the hole that lets you access the cab mounting bolt, so the approach from below was hindered.

I was originally loosening the bolts using a wrench, and it was pretty tight going so a slip of the wrench started to round it.

In the end the bolt was removed successfully without too many cuss words. I filed the edges of the bolt to get it squared up enough. Soaked in some penetrating oil and jacked the cab up a little more to be able to get a socket on. Then proceeded to slowly back the bolt out, every second turn I would tighten it a little to work the oil into the threads.

I really appreciate the quick responses with some good ideas!
    Cheers

    I am glad it worked.

I hope your a little confused on the difference between a bolt and a nut then it might be a language issue

OP seemed to have it spot on. Unless you're talking about yourself.
