Hey everyone. I tried searching for this and had no luck, so I'm hoping someone could guide me in the right direction.
I ordered the Cali raised ditch lights with the wiring harness a while back, and finally got the mictuning switch recently. In trying to install the switch, I noticed that the wire colors are different from the tutorial video by Cali raised.
The harness in the video shows wires that are black, white and red.
But the harness delivered is black, blue and red. I tried substituting the blue wire for the white, but it did not work. Any ideas?
As always, thanks for all your help!

Dang I just had mine apart last night to wire it up...i should have snapped pics. In any case, your ditch light wire harness looks the my caliraised front mount led bar harness. (I have both cali raised ditch lights and cali raised light bar and they both came with different styles of wiring harnesses :notsure:)

So here's what you need to do.

Black from your switch goes to black on the harness (duh right)

Green from the switch needs to go to a 12volt source. (I ran a separate wire from my battery with an inline 3amp fuse so that I can turn my lights on even with the truck off) you could tap into your cigarette lighter etc.

Red 2 from the switch (the red wire next to the black wire) gets tapped to your dash lights. I recommend tapping the peach colored wire coming off the back of your bedlight switch.

Now here's the tricky part...you now have 2 wires left on your harness, a red and a blue. One of them does not get used. Red 1 from your switch (red wire next to the green wire) gets connected to either the red or blue from the harness (to supply power to the relay)

Trial and error will be your friend for the red 1 hook up. (It's only 2 wires, should only take about a minute to figure out which one you need by touching red 1 from the switch to the red or the blue until your ditch lights come on)

    Good luck!

Good lord, that is much different than what was shown on the videoo_O
But I definitely appreciate the help!

@CaliRaisedLed any possibility that I can receive the correct harness as shown on the video? It would make the install go more as expected.

When I did mine I just fumbled through it until they worked. It only cost me one fuse.

Did you replace the fuse that was on the wiring harness? (30)

Yea I would never wire up the switch the way it's done in that video.

He didn't show any great pictures of the switch after install but I'm fairly certain that it must stay lit 24/7 Which is not something I would want.

If you wire it my way
    1. Your lights can be turned on even when the trucks off.

    2. Your switch lights will dim with the dash lights.

    3. Your switch lights will be on when the truck is on and off when the truck is off (unless you have the switch turned on)

So it turns out that the ditch light wiring video is not entirely accurate. When you receive the harness, the wires from the harness are not red, black and white. It's red, blue, and black.
    You will have to connect in the following manner;
    -black to black
    -red to red
    -blue to green

Hope this helps with anyone else trying to install their ditch lights

Did you twist both red wires from the switch together?

Does your switch stay lit all the time?

You might consider removing that glop of tape and using heat shrink to protect your connections.

The tape is already in a mess, and will get worse with time and heat.

    It's cheap and easy.

I'm about to tackle this for the 32" Cali-raised LED Light bar tonight. This post is making it look pretty confusing.. :annoyed:

I think the common problem is that not all caliraised products ship with the same harness. It's almost like you get whatever harness that the actual light manufacturer packaged with the light.

I had a similar issue with a Mictuning 4 wire switch. I went by Post number 131 here https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads...lush-for-3rd-gens.406964/page-7#post-11711409. Seems easy enough except that my light bar relay and switch has a red wire instead of blue. Easy I thought, black to black, white to green (like the picture), and red to red1 (in addition to red2 to dome light green wire). Wrong! The blue wire isn’t the same as the red wire on my switch. If you wire it that way you’ll blow the fuse in the relay. Correct answer turned out to be black to black, red to green, and white to red1. So I had the red and white wires opposite of the way they should be. Only took an hour to figure out my mistake! Lol
