It's one of several 'new' places for me on this adventure. This one should be very interesting.

Yeah its also one that is likely to still have snow on it when we get there. It's had snow year round before often. And this year was a big snow year. But also stupid hot summer. South area towards where the road ends is on fire right now too.

Still working on convincing the fiancé that me going without her 2 weeks after we are married is ok lol. Would love to go for it all, but I'm thinking a 1 week compromise might be the realistic answer.

Yeah we are putting off our honeymoon until later when it makes more sense. Cruising around wheeling sounds like a fun bachelor party anyway so

Yes i think that is right. I don't have my maps and GPS stuff with me in Powell. Will check tomorrow though.

ITs a VERY long road. But the first half or so i believe is county maintained so its not impossible for you to meet us then. LONG day for you though..

Devin and I are going to go prerun this area next week so i'll have a better idea of what you'd be up against then.

We will be ther on thursday night for sure though. Its the part after that that could have a lot of flux as the Big Horns have roads EVERYWHERE. Think we counted 10 off of hunt mountain road alone. So yeah. But up to the Pryors, im very confident in the time line.

    :headbang: Sweet!

    UPDATE:

I just got back from the Big HOrns, part of my route is an ATV only trail. Going to have to modify part of it, or just stick to Red Greade Road..

Also found to my suprise today that to get to The Medicine Wheel, you have to hike the last 1.5 miles to get there. I had just driven up there when i was younger so that was new. Its a 3 mile hike at 9000'. We will play it by ear on that one as im not entirely certain on where we will be when coming off the Pryors.

Camping was a lot more sparse as well at the begining of Hunt Mountain Road. And since Archery Season will be in mid swing and Rifle right around the corner..the two spots i did find could be taken. I do have two back up areas though which are at the base of the mountain or half way up which we may like better anyways as it won't be as could.

Yeah hopefully. Will you go around or through the park?

I don't think it's a hard trail. But it is one of the trails where snow could be an issue. Regardless if it hasn't snowed soon.

Will get a snow report next week.

Water won't be an issue. All the water level will be low by then. Really low. Hell the big horns are already really low.

Water coming off the bear tooths is still raging good though. So we will see. But I'm pretty certain everything will have died down.

If we made it to kerwin in July you won't have any issues. That place is the scarey water crossings/flood area. Even when we were there it was flooded for about 2 miles.

    Good

I'll give you road stuff. Plus you can just track us with your phone online so you don't need anything super fancy.

    Ouch. That's late
