Anyone experience this/how do you remedy it? These are included with the Prinsu rack but as you can see, portion of the caridge bolt stick out past the t-slot on the cross bars. This doesn't allow for the anchor to be tightened and wthen causes it to be loose and rattle when on the rack and not being used.

Do you have enough threads to use a lock nut with the eye?

Maybe but then it would still be loose in the t-slot. Could still be slid along the rail.

There should be stainless washers included with the eyelets. They tighten up perfectly on the washer.

Little of this and a little of that
What did you use to mount it to the rack? Or what kind of hardware?

    Got it mounted up. (Pictures)

    Feedback:

    Pros: - Very light weight
    - Assembly is straight forward
    - nice to be able to mount anything with a 1/4-20 carriage bolt
    - low profile
    - adjustable rails
    - you will get compliments :)

    Cons:
    - not a lot of play in the "fixed slots" on the side rails for mounting the cross bars into the sides
    - If your shell has ANY sort of contour you will need to shim the feet to avoid pulling your tracks out of your shell

For those having issues with Leer factory tracks (Read THULE) please look at my post #1408. The tracks on my topper were left/right specific and came backwards from the factory. I would have never installed my rack without spacers if I hadn't swapped them side to side. Very easy fix that I did on my own and replaced the track hardware with SS while I was at it.

    Interesting..
I got mine installed after market, by a place that does these kinds of installs all day.

    I'll double check though!

I only had to shim the 4 corners not the middle feet

Was just reading through this thread, and saw you posting about sound insulation on your roof, did you do this yet and if so how was the outcome?

I don't hear the rack at all. The only road noise I hear is coming through my doors, and those aren't treated as of yet
