    I have a 2017 4x4 offroad with 2.5" toytec boss coilover lift. Tires are 275x70x17 and rub on the rear fender well when hitting bumps if the wheels are turned. I did not think these tires would have any problem clearing. I've already trimmed and melted the plastic. What else can I do... cab chop? Would a different alignment help? Thanks.

    Yep. Both of those will help. Still running OEM UCAs?

    Hells bells. Same here. I did the CMC on mine with 285/75 and it's perfect. Mines a 2nd gen tho.

    Hate to cut up a brand new truck, but might need to. You'd think toyota might expand it a little bit by the 3rd gen.

    You'd think they would. But vrod is right. If the fab shop knows what they're doing you can't tell.

    My son has the Boss 2.0 and it does not rub at full lock with stock UCA's. Take it to a shop that does 4x4 alignments, you should not be rubbing. What kind of wheels do you have?

    It was done at a reputable shop. They are fuel rippers, but I will be replacing them with either procomp or method. Maybe it will help.

    Thanks for the replies everyone.

    Replaced fuel wheels with procomp. Problem gone. There's enough clearance now.

    A LOT more to do with fitting tires than just Lift. You can fit 285s on a stock Tacoma if you get the right wheel specs, alignment, etc. Too many variables involved to say for sure.

    I got the toytec boss lift with adjustable UCAs. I'm running 285/70/17 with zero rubbing. Wheels specs 17x8 0 offset 4.5 back space (fn fx pros).

    I run 275/70/17 KO2s on my sport with SEMA rims and blistein 5100 set at .85 with sumo springs in the back. Truck sits level and I have no rubbing anywhere. IMG_2894.jpg

    yes, no rub, not even close,, sema rims,, IMO looks like 285's would be ok,, but might have to lose the front flaps,,, 275/70/17 are just right..IMO

    Good to hear @taco_mtb you fixed the problem before I responded.
    I'm 3rd gen 2017 SR5 4x4 and running Pro Comp 32's with 285/75R16's M/T Baja's at 33" Dia
    Bilstein 5100's at 2.25" lift, the 0 offset of the Pro Comps allows clearance;

    Looks nice... no rubbing even over bumps at full turn?
