Just remember the Nissan also will depreciate a lot faster. At least with a toyota you get some money back.

If you can sell and buy in the US you will save money.

Well my vehicle search is continuing and still no luck! Lol it's like I'm so stuck on my Tacoma that nothing else can compare! I was however, looking at used 4runners, that said of course all the nicely priced ones were all rwd and not 4wd!:frusty:

The Tacoma market in CO is super hot. I just sold mine in less than 24 hours for full asking price. Guess I should have asked more! HAHA

If you decide to sell your Tacoma in HI (which is what I recommend. You'll get more $$ and save the shipping) don't be afraid to look around the mainland for a 4x4 Tacoma. I found a nice slightly used 2015 last year 1200 miles away. Plane ticket, gas and hotel was $600. Figured I came out on top as the local Tacoma market is crazy. Plus I could shop around and get exactly what I wanted.

If you do decide to bring it with for now, then want to sell it down the road, look at advertising or trading it in in places like NM and AZ. Lots or Prerunners there.

I definitely want to sell my prerunner here, get a 4x4 here then ship it there. There are companies that pick up vehicles and then drive it to you correct? We have no such thing here in Hawaii! Lol

    Are you getting free shipping?
Are the 4X4s super cheap in HI?
    What am I missing?

This will piss off the Denver folks but from having family in Denver and my parents having lived on the western slope... Denver sucks, steer clear. Move to the other side of the state.

Also might add I was just in Denver a few months back on a business trip and driving anywhere during rushhour was some of the most idiotic and insane traffic Ive driven in and Ive been through plenty of major metropolitan areas, and California.

It's no secret that Denver has been ruined since 2012.5.

    Boulder...I couldn't have guessed.

For example, 30 minutes ago I was driving home on Park Ave and a ~23 year old, strong and able bodied guy was holding a sign "homeless and hungry". Luckily nobody gave the loser anything. So what did he do after he walked up and down the cars waiting at the red light? I shit you not he went and poured some weed into his pipe. 9:05 AM, homeless and hungry, but god dammit I got my weed.

Don't think you're gonna piss anyone off. All the guys who live in Denver aren't colorado natives.

It's not even rush hour. It's 24/7 now.

    Aloha guys,

From Hawaii and planning to move real soon to Colorado, yes I have a 4x4 Tacoma and I'm planning to ship it up there. Just came back from a much needed Vacay to visit some good friends that also moved up there. I really enjoyed it there. Did anyone have to recalibrate their ECU or tuner to account for the difference in altitude? What's a good shop to do mods or redo my lift? I'm looking to stay somewhere between Boulder and Denver area that's where I'll be working. So anyone know some good shops that do decent work on Tacomas?

    Thanks
