Oh! For some reason I assumed you were pulling a trailer. Then shit yeah, fly up in in 6th. If you're feeling like you have to really push the gas thoigh to maintain RPMs, then I'd downshift.

I don't think I was stressing. I was accelerating past 70 in 5th and wasn't pushing hard on the gas at any time

You're not really stressing the engine any more than normal if the RPMs are going up as you press the gas on a hill. It's when you're pressing the gas and not gaining any speed or losing speed that you're putting alot of stress on the trans and engine and should be down shifting.

I'm ordering these colored Seat covers for my 6MT Access Cab. I want the UPS vibe when I drive.

    Little bit of stuff.
Separate topic, but a huge thanks to @Coupe for a super fast rebuild and shipping of a shifter core he had laying around from a previous customer. I inquired on Saturday, he had it all said and done Monday, shipped Tuesday, arrived an hour ago, shifter is swapped and better than new. Came in clutch (pun intended) for me!

As you know, I am locked into Manual Transmissions - With that being said - I do appreciate some of the more modern devices on these trucks -
Electric Windows, Turn-Signals, etc that do improve the driving experience. Automatics are designed to appeal to those that have yet to master doing more than one thing at a time (Clutch & Shift Lever) or are total Computer Geeks that can't imagine not letting computers control their life. Then again perhaps they have trouble shifting because they can't do it with their tumbs...For them they have paddle shifters...Just (thankfully) not in Taco's

Dos anybody know how I can get a 2017 Double cab Tacoma with a manual transmission and a long bed? I'd even buy a used 2013-2015 if it came in that configuration.

I believe that configuration was only offered to the Canadian market, but someone correct me if I'm wrong. I too wish I could have both, cuz I won't give up my long bed for a double cab... not yet anyway.

Really? What years did they offer that configuration as I've never heard of one?
