I'm planning on doing some landscaping this weekendand got a kick ass deal on paver stones. I think the palate is like 1,500lbs. I have to carry this thing about 150 miles.

I'm scared I'm going to trash my leaf springs. I may split the weight up by putting a few hundred pounds in someone elses car, but lets say I'm hauling 1,200-1,300 on my own.

Am I going to break the truck?

A bunch a cool stickers, a bada ass MetalMiller Tx Longhorns grill emblem painted Hemi Orange, JBA long tube headers with o2 sims, Diff breather mod, Red LED interior lights, Fancy head unit that plays ipod n movies, Also DIY install factory stuff like, factory cruise control, factory intermittent wipers, OME nitro struts with 886x springs and toy tec top plate, JBA high caster UCA's for better alignmnet and dey beefier too, Old Man Emu Dakar leaf springs in da rear with the gear, U bolt flipper, Ivan Stewart TRD rims with 33" K Bro 2's, some bad ass weather tech floor liners so I don't muck up my interior, an ATO shackle flipper for mo travel in da rear wit the gear, also super shiny Fox 2.0 shocks back there too, all sorts of steal armor for bouncing off of the rocks like demello sliders, AP front skid, trans skid, n transfer skid, demello gas tank skid, and a tough as nails ARB bumper with warn 8k winch, I'm sure there's more
I would haul a ton of top soil. On the stock suspension I was bouncing off the bump stops. Important note, air your tires up to 5#'s under max pressure to handle your load better. If you have other than stock suspension, you may handle the load better, but 150 miles on stock suspension you'd be better off making two trips splitting the load.

Can't guarantee anything but I have had 1,400-2,000 lbs. in the bed of my truck several times. Stock suspension. Furthest I drove was about 80 miles.

with 800 lbs I was hitting the bump stops, weight needs to be closer to front so it wont do that

I'd split the load up to be safe. Last thing you want to do is f up your truck to offset the deal you got on the paver stones.

Can you rent a one-way trailer? Pick up near there and drop off at home. A uhaul is less than $100 for 4 days. a 200 tongue weight is a much better load.

I'm currently installing pavers in our front walkway right now. The landscape supply company told me a pallet of concrete pavers is 2500-2800lbs. I made two trips but I was only driving 15 miles each way.

Yeah if it was a short haul like that I wouldn't be as worried. Got access to a trailer so I bought even more lol.

Trailer it. I said it in another thread and I'll tell my story here. A few years ago I needed a trailer so I bought one on Craigslist and used it for a day and sold it for profit. Win win.

I drove about 30 miles with 1k in the bed before on stock suspension and it was pretty horrible... smacking bump stops with any little bump or dip in the road. Air up the tires a bit more than factory spec as well... trailer seems like a smart idea though.

    I'd rather use that F-250 :D

I had 1100lbs of crushed drain rock (09 TRD Sport 4x4 with towing and TSB springs), only going about 20 miles but held up just fine, no bottoming out on any potholes I hit. Bucket loader did the right thing and loaded my bed correctly though, def helps.

Here's 40 bags plus pallet in the rain 45 mins from the house. 2.5 cubic ft per bag. Thinking that about 50lbs each. Not including the rain water, which probably didnt amount to much....20170612_182228.jpg 20170612_182234.jpg
