    Is that rhetorical?

It makes sense that they need to rotate but this is the only way they fit into the headlight. If you know something, do divulge.

Mine had templates that I had to make for the projectors since my headlights originally came with projectors with them being aftermarket. One side the cut off is perfect...the others its kind of bad. If I get a reason to crack them open that I will correct it, but to me I don't give a shit enough to worry about it. The light output is still just as solid.

But mine are like yours in that the projectors are fastened into the housing and cant rotate and the bulb only sits in there in one orientation. If it doesn't look solid, then you have to shift your projector unit angle. I bet it wont be that noticeable if you just align them to what you can. Yea up close on a wall you will notice it, but on the road you wont.

Got a pic of what they look like? I mean how much do you really care about the cut offs being perfect?

You have to grind down everything on the back of reflector bowl. You can't use the stock tabs to line up the ring because Toyota has it shifted from factory for some reason

Yea trim down everything and align the projectors with the vertical lines of reflector bowl on the back and do minor tweaking from there

Looks decent but I'd rather take them out and shoot them with a 12 gauge than to know I did shit work, plus have ineffective lighting. Truck is so dirty from work nothing looks 'good' right now.

How many times can I pull these apart? There's 3/4" of butyl stacked up at this point I'm afraid to try again.

As many times as you want. Clean all the butyl out and lay fresh butyl in the channel

I guess we're going to have a 3 week headlight build then. Any local places have it?
