2011 TRD petal suddenly to the floor, second pump made the brakes usable so no crash! All warning lights and alarm on so I figure it the mother of all master cylinders that local Dealer wants $1,400 for but I can find on line for $1,000. Looks like as a master cylinder job with a few extra wire connectors. Any advise would be appreciated.

A grand for a master cylinder? They are around $100 tops. Do you mean the ABS actuator?

That's what I thought but a for a Tacoma 4wd, Auto trans, With auto lsd, With stability control, 2005-11, 4.0L, with downhill assist it is $1,000 at some dealers and up to $1,400 for the part which has all the bells and whistles, not sold w/o bells and whistles.

Ah, ok. That makes sense. It has a lot more bells and whistles on it.

Check out Camelback in the vendor section. They give a discount to TW Members. It's probably the cheapest you will find.

I had thought so, has to do with the ATRAC function I believe which the sport does not have.

Yea the Atrac has a different braking system.

I wonder how hard it is down 'downgrade' to the regular master cylinder? Bet those last longer too...

Thanks for the help, but mine is the OR, off road with the Bilsteins which has the electronic master cylinder, that item has the right electronic pictured master cylinder but I believe the model number would be for the Sport. My double cab 4x4 TRD model number is I believe 47025-04052 but I have yet to see one to be sure.

Only tacos that came with the electric boosted master cylinder / abs unit all in one are. 05-08 tacos OPTIONED with the VSC package (not many), and ALL 09+ TRD OR 4x4's.... 09+ non TRD OR 4x4's had the standard vacuum master with separate ABS unit that had been reprogrammed for VSC capabilities.

It sucks that its all in one if you have to replace the whole thing, i would of taken it apart and tried to source seals for it.
