La Sal Loop Road to Geyser Pass

Is it open? It was not open in May due to repaving. Anybody know if it is open now?

 

morning bump. anybody have first hand info. somebody must have been to Moab recently.

 

Open from 191/Spanish Valley (was up at Gold Basin on Saturday), believe it's still closed from the Castle Valley side.

I spent a couple days on Cowshead Mesa, 10 days ago. There are a lot of through points that could be pass-able, but it has snowed a bit. Now considering going up JB canyon to see if I could make it to La Sal Loop and into Castle Valley.

 

The Castle Valley side was still closed about a month ago when I was UTV'ing around Onion Creek/Polar mesa. I live a few miles from there and will check when I get back (out of town right now).

I really hope they finish the mountain loop road soon, hate driving all the way to Spanish Valley to gain access.
