Fox and ADS Bypass shocks.

I also have a used pair of ADS 16" Bypass shocks 2-tubes that was recently rebuilt(new seals and oil) and then stored away. They click like crazy compared to Fox, but they perform great. $1100 plus shipping. I didn't take any photos, but definitely can for anyone seriously interested.

So the ADS shocks are noisy?

 

They click like none other. They don't bother me whatsoever, but some folks might not like that at all.

 

Sorry for the maybe obvious questions, but I've never bought aftermarket shocks and was think of going with these. When you say they click, what do you mean?

 

Matt, these long shocks are suited for guys doing a LT suspension in the rear. Do a little research in the long travel sub forum. If you have to ask me what the "clicking" refers to then these shocks aren't for you.

 

Gotcha. I'm not looking to do LT, but I was considering the ADS 2.5" Extended Travel Shocks. Thanks for providing insight.

 

ADS makes great high quality shocks from my experience so you can't go wrong with them. Their coilovers and such won't be noisy/click. The clicking only refers to bypass shocks.

 

Are bypass shocks the same thing as remote reservoir shocks just a different name? Just want to make sure I'm not confusing the two if they are different.

 

In our case, we're referring to 2 different type of shocks. Both types have a reservoir, but the internals are completely different which results in a different level of performance.
