    Yep.
I've been keeping an eye out during my commute to Middletown and even taking different routes each day but like you said, it's likely off the road at the point; abandoned or stored inside while the poor truck gets molested. 5 days is a long time, hopefully something will turn up soon!

Most stolen cars are completely stripped and sold for parts within a day or two. Likely its not being driven. Friend of mines brother got his camero stolen. Only the frame was recovered. Some idiot tried selling it and it had a VIN on it. It was recovered within a week of it being gone. Cops said this is what happens all the time.

I'm afraid post 41, option 4 may be the 'winner' in this situation. Overseas, already gone.

Unless your family is pranking you and the truck is in Foose's hands for Overhaulin.

    Best of luck man!

All he told me was he bought it on Amazon and I pulled it up and that's what I found....

It HAS a 39.95 monthly fee.

Still nothing. Thanks for the bumps and support though. I am thinking that it is already parted out or has been shipped somewhere. It seems like Dover PD does not believe those types of things happen but I feel like if it was on the road somewhere it would have turned up by now. The worst part is this waiting and having no idea how the situation is going to be resolved. Worst still is that it was almost paid off and with a baby on the way that was a really good feeling. Now my wife and I feel like we will be starting over with payments on a vehicle....big time bummer. Def will probably never have a build like that again. :(

My cousin just bought a new VW, and the dealer told her that they put RFID tags in every major component now. Point being that if it is stolen and stripped it is an easy identifier on parts to see where it originated. If that is true it could nearly halt the entire theft market pretty quick here. Scanning the RFID tag in parts will be common place when buying/selling them through "legitimate" places eventually, assuming what they say is true.

    well this sure sucks man...bummer

most likely unrelated to your situation, but i read an article recently about sophisticated thieves being able to access and drive vehicles away without notice (in san diego) by knowing only the vin number...which is plainly visible on the dash of all cars of course...evidently there are online databases of key codes for vin numbers...google around

we know tacomas are sought after (more than only for the cat converters)...i'm putting electrical tape or something over my vin number tomorrow...
hope your story ends well...if not, it could be a new beginning for another project...!
    cheers!

My place of business installs a gps tracker device in all employees vehicles who choose to drive their own vehicle for work. (its in all company trucks as well) I get a report weekly / monthly with every movement and location. it allows me to charge for mileage reimbursement for business miles back to the company. most see this negatively as a big brother thing and dont like it. I see it as a 'Yuge benefit, if my truck is ever jacked, I (popo) will be able to locate it in real time. It is also use for payroll for the field guys, for time they hit the jobs, prevents time stealing, to an extent.
