@4Wheel Underground thanks for sending them out, they got here on thursday(6/8) along with my ruffstuff order (bumper components, t-case crossmember, front axle parts) . Ordered a 92-95 pickup VSS, it was 20$ online. the 21/6 gear was too big to fit in the old style transfer case so I modified the splined shaft for the 18/6 gear, it needed to be shortened by about quarter inch and another notch needed to be added. Pretty much the same operation as the lowrange vss adapter but I didn't have to hassle with epoxying the old one and taking apart the sensor.

Weren't you gonna have RST build your truck?

These projects can be overwhelming. As I shared at some point earlier in this thread, at the time of my SAS I had a lot of stuff going on at work as well. Some weeks I worked 7 days, other weeks I only got 1 day off. Now way I was gonna spend my one precious day off working on a vehicle...plus it would have taken forever at that pace anyway.

Still...even with having a builder work on my rig, it was an intense process. Was very involved making decisions, sourcing parts, addressing issues that came along the way, etc. After all, it is your project and you have to manage it beginning to end.

    Overall for my project:

Gathering parts and planning Phase: 1 1/2 years
    Build Phase: 6 months aprox.

So give or take the whole thing beginning to end took about 2 years..maybe a little more. And I was glad to have another vehicle available :D

Alright....excuse the hiatus, been a crazy couple weeks. Had an epic 4th of july party, then weddings on back-to-back weekends and finally I destroyed my back. Got an impingement between C6 and C8, so my left arm is being a pain in the ass. Chiropractor wasnt much help. With one good arm and my sisters help I was able to get the duals in.

Had to remove the exhaust between the first cat and the flange in front of the muffler. You can see it hanging down in the second picture. Cats looked good for 140k no broken pieces of the honeycomb.

Fuck I'm sorry about your back. That's one of the worst place to get an injury. I hope it heals the best it can the fastest it can. How did it happen?

@DustStorm4x4 Too much partying I think :notsure:, I have no idea really. I was reaching above my head to take a projector screen down, nothing too crazy then I woke up with it one morning, first couple days it felt like I put my arm in a deep fryer. Now I'm not in constant pain anymore just weakness and neuropathy. Chiropractor isn't cutting it so going to see a PT. At 31 I didn't think I would have to deal with this shit yet but football and lifting weight's is catching up to me I guess :sadviolin:.

Waiting on color samples from the powdercoater for the hellfire knuckles, going to have the relentless light-bar brackets coated black and some other stuff media blasted. I need to adjust the body to the frame since the body lift, not quite how i'm going to do that yet. There are some wear marks where the body mounts were so that should help, and measuring from the frame to the pinch weld on the cab.

Going to start studying for my ham license in the near future. Need the safety of longer distance comm's that CB just cant cut.

Excessive masturbation with that arm could also be the culprit :D

Seriously, sorry to hear about your injury. I have never ever had possitive results from chiropractors either.. Some people swear by them. I have always gotten better results from physical therapy. That's good stuff.

And believe it or not...Yoga is really effective too. I used to make fun of people that did Yoga and was very skeptical about the whole thing. Then one day I tried it because of lower back pain and nerve pain. That shit really work...well, at least it does for me.

Coincidently I am also thinking about taking a license for the ham radios. There is such a huge difference between cb radios and ham radios; it's really amazing how much longer the range is and how clear the communication is as well. It almost feels like talking on a cell phone.

Hope you feel better soon and congrats on getting the dual cases installed.

@1999RegCab luckily I'm right handed. Talked to arcadia offroad about getting the triple stick issue figured out, they need pictures to see if it's something they are willing to do. Then it's just waiting for stuff to come back from powdercoat, then the front axle will be good to go.

You won't be disappointed with Arcadia Offroad, Branden is a good dude!

I'm too lazy to go back and read but did you decide if you are building it or having someone else?

What's wrong with the triple sticks? If you got them from RAD design, he is super easy to deal with. I broke one of the rod ends and bent a rod on the shakedown run after I first installed it, he sent me all new parts for free, good dude for sure!
