    ***POLL ADDED***

***EDIT*** I think I am leaning towards the Falken WildPeak AT2W (SL). Convince me otherwise?

In Spring 2018 I plan on getting new wheels (FN FX PROs or 4R TRD PROs) and new tires.

My question is, with so many tires choices I have narrowed it down to a few choices, unless someone can advise otherwise.

To make it known, I live in Utah and we can have moderate to harsh winters, but nothing like the middle/east. I do not own a boat, trailer, or 5th wheel. I do not plan on towing anything, unless its a small moving trailer. I do not extreme off road but I do some off roading on mud, gravel, dirt, small(er) rocks. I mainly drive on pavement and highway.

    I would like:
    • Quite as possible
    • Good tread wear
    • Aggressive like a K02
    • Black sidewall
Thoughts and opinions? Or is there another tire under $200/ea you would recommend for my needs?

    Thanks.

I ran the grabber AT2 in SL (the $144 choice) and it was fantastic. You don't need a heavy LT tire unless you're regularly going off-road. Even with the SL tires, I went off-road many times, and they did great. I bought them from discounttiredirect.com and that was the cheapest I could find them anywhere.

I agree. No need for the extra weight of the LT. I'm running the Falken Wildpeak A/T3W (SL) and I love them. Great traction and very quiet on the highway.

I will also look into this tire. How does it do in the snow?

I'm also looking at the Wild Peaks....they can be had for about $523 so they are definitely one of the cheapest tires you will find and I think they look great too. Add about $100 to get them installed at local tire shop.

IMO the general grabbers are the winner then. Similar tread pattern to KO2, cheap, quiet, and perform really well off road.

    Thanks.

I saw a Jeep Wrangler today lifted with the Cooper tires and those looked good which is why I added them to the list.

I got the general grabber at2 installed for $636 from a local shop. I wouldn't buy tires online because you often times have to pay for shipping and then install which makes them more expensive than tire shops. Walmart has the grabbers for $132 with $12 per tire install. Go that route and get the grabbers in passenger load.

Edit: My tires were 265/70R16 so your prices from a local tire shop and Walmart may be off slightly.

They performed great for me over the winter. Granted this is PA and not UT, but we did have a 14-inch snowfall during one storm this winter. I have no complaints.
