    Evening everyone

Just got back home from the car show and had a lot of fun . There was maybe 50 cars there and some very nice looking ones

I was also invited to car show this Saturday at the High school down the street from me . I'm looking forward to that show as I'm always happy to help out a High school that needs money for school programs

Damn I should have come here hours ago for comic relief. Really needed it after today. And to put things into perspective. Appreciate the comic relief part but realize most are making the best of a bad situation. And trying to laugh is about all you can do sometimes, which usually works. At least for awhile.

That peer pressure thing isn't such a negative thing once you turn 50.. Which was a long time ago.

Not asleep but been working a long day and doing a lot of thinking. My head hurts. Damn I don't miss being in the field Andy. I did pre sales engineering support for a long time before I took this sit down gig. And the CIO and Board of Directors would look at me after the salesman got down talking and ask me if it was true. I always told the truth. Sales manger on down would always give me hell afterwards. But they always fought over me to take in the field.

As if you didn't already have my respect, Bravo Zulu. And well done good sir! Damn EOM quotas and bean counters... Quality Quality and Quality. Did I mention Quality?

England and America wanted nothing to do with Dr. Deming so he ended up in Japan. Exhibit A- the Toyota.

Correct on so many levels Kevin!

I've had this truck for a few months and still haven't finished setting it up and have half the back seat full of stuff that still has to go on it. So I'm going to spend some time tomorrow and see what I can get done.

I do not have that issue but my youngest son did when he went through chemo for Advanced Stage 4 cancer. He was embarrassed and instead of talking to the hemo Doc about it, who was female, talked me into buying those pills on line from Canada. Big mistake those bastages still call me 4-5 times a week trying to get me to buy more pills. They are usually from the Philippines, and use a relay phone bank like a proxy server so you can't tell where the calls are coming from, it looks like from the US but are not.

And I have told them look over your shoulder because the next time you call me I will have a gun behind your head and pull the trigger and double tap your ass. No luck they keep calling back. Go through your Doctor if you think you need those pills. But like Mike said there may be other options. Listen to him.

Good luck Martin, and hope the weather cooperates. I turned over the back seat in my AC cab to the dogs, guns and Hi Lift and recover gear.

Many said have said it is OK to rant on here, damn sounds like those snowflakes and a safe place. But it is public so it is not. On the other hand this one of the few places where a select few people that understand each other in many ways can talk to each other and get feedback, positive or negative. And I appreciate that.

    So here we go...

The youngest son who is 26 cancer is back and he doesn't want to go through chemo again. Tried to get him to go back, but it his life and kind of understand he has been through hell. And he decided to self medicate for now. I kind of understand after watching what he went through but still don't like it and wish he would get the next scan and treatment done but he doesn't want to it scares him. And it scares me. But it is his life and I respect that I have done what I could do.

My mother turns 80 in a few days. She has already had a stroke and the whole family is getting together in Buffalo NY at one of my sisters homes to celebrate her 80th birthday. My oldest son is 29 and decided he wants to go. He is Level 2 tech support for Apple and works from home. He is in the top 5% of OCD cases in the US and has been on Long Term Disability from Apple for almost a year, started back to work a few months ago. He can't travel on an airplane or even ride in a vehicle without freaking out. But he wants to go to his Grandmothers celebration.

So we settled on the Amtrak train and last night I paid for train tickets for the both of us to go. 2 years ago he got married and my whole family came out to see him and his wife get married. Think he feels obligated to go. And not sure he can handle it. The 2 of us will leave Thursday and come back Monday. Not sure what to do if he can't handle it. I had planned to drive by myself and that was simple. But life isn't always simple.

Was thinking about all of this on the way home from work tonight after picking up oldest dog from doggie day care. The antenna for my radio on my truck is somewhere down this trail where I grouse hunt.

So I turned on my phone and Amazon prime music and a song made me pull over before I made up the hill to the house. Hadn't heard it in years. But it really hit home. The dog climbed up from the back to lay his head on my lap as I sat there on the shoulder of the road listening to this song. We can do this.

That's a heavy load, man. We love our kids and our folks. After losing the folks and one of the boys, I can only say to love em and hold them while you're here and able and respect their wishes. We've walked the miles with them, but not in their shoes. We all have our perspectives and, even though we're seeing the same thing, we can't feel what they feel. So enjoy them and let them enjoy you. It's tough sometimes but it's the best we can do.
